I have a friend that has agreed to quit cigs using and e-cig so I'm ordering him the 901.

My question is what mg should he start with? I personally use 24, but I've been e-cigging for so long that I really don't have perspective as far as what mg is best to transition from analogues.

He smokes ALOT so maybe 36mg? For me 36 is too strong and after a few hits I'm dizzy, but again I don't have perspective because I haven't had an analogue for so long.

What do you guys/girls think?

Always go with a higher nicotine content for two reasons. First, it may help suppress cravings when stopping analog smoking. Second, if it is too strong, it can always be cut down with glycerine (VG) or PG from several sources. In fact, buying a bottle of 18mg/ml juice costs the same as the 36mg/ml version. If 18 is your sweet spot, and you cut a bottle of 36mg 50/50 with VG or PG, you have twice as much liquid to vape by going with the 36mg. bottle.

So many people suggest cutting their liquid, but as far as I can tell that will reduce the flavor right along with the nicotine content. I for one would never recommend that, especially since more taste is a general goal that many people might be shooting for.

At two packs per day (and I'll just assume they are regulars instead of lights since you didn't say) I would think 36mg would be a good place to start. And I would buy some lower level juice, like maybe 12mg, of the same flavor to cut with if he finds it necessary.

Or you could buy some VG or PG to cut with and buy some Loranns flavoring to boost the flavor back up again after cutting it. Or you could find that 36mg liquid is just fine for him and you wasted your money on the 12mg juice to cut with.

In the end though, you have a very good chance of NOT nailing it.
Trial and error are about the only way to go with juice.

But asking never hurts, and sometimes the answers even help.
