I have so far tried about 25 flavors from different vendors,(mostly Perfumer Apprentice) I can honestly say I don't like most of them. Most are not terrible but I don't find them interesting either.A few are gag me bad.
I am thinking this is nuts.If this keep up I could have 50-75 flavors before I find 5 or 6 I like.

Is this just me?
Am I having bad luck?

So far I only really really like.
1.A few different RY4s
2.The Cranberry from Perfumer Apprentice
3.A clove mix I made myself

That's it.I think I am really liking about 15% of the flavors so far.
How is every one elses flavor search going?

Quick reply for now coz I' really supposed to be doing something else lol

About 10% of flavours give me an mmmm...yeh! so far.

Out of the rest there are only a couple of percent that actually make me wanna vom.

That leaves 88% of flavours, which are an even split between those I find acceptable but just not excellent and those which are not really my thing but which I keep for emergency supplies or use occasionally because I'm mostly too tight-fisted to throw liquid away ;)

Cheers, ethnobot

LOL... out of 12 or so vendors (and usually tried 6-10 of thier flavors) I ended up with just one that I vape now. It blew everything outta the ballpark for me. But, taste is subjective and tastes do change over time as your tastebuds and sense of smell come back to life. :)

Good luck in your quest to find the perfect vape!!

I have tried many juices. There are only a small handful that I would buy again. I do a lot of trading thru the swap page, so I get rid of the ones I dont care for and get new ones to try. Of those that I get that I dont like from the swaps, I swap again for others. Its an inexpensive way to try lots of flavors without committing to it because if you dont like it, trade it. You can trade here... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ig-related-juice-batteries-parts-etc-306.html
This is a treasure chest, people post freebies and you can get a variety of things from here... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-must-read-rules-before-posting-here-351.html
and then lastly, Pay It Forward...this page allows you to get things for free but when you take a PIF, you must post what you are willing to give away... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-you-must-read-rules-before-posting-here.html

I would say 50% I find somewhat pleasant. Things that might be someone else's fave but not mine.

30% maybe something I might vape occasionally (but in practice, I rarely do)

Some of those above are good mixers though and I use a few that way.
And some can be improved with a mixer.
(like I got a fruit juice that was medicinal w/ too much flavor so I cut it 50/50 w/ a sweet vanilla that isn't my fave vanilla and got a juice good enough to earn a carto)

And 10% really really hit the spot for me and become top faves.

Unfortunately, of that 10%, not all are suitable for cartomizers (the way I like to vape) - some of them have too much VG and would degrade a carto too fast. So I have to drip those.

So for juice I will buy over and over and vape in cartos, maybe 5%

I think it would be fair to say 10% of the juice you try will become all day vapes and permenant fridge staples. But remember, even after getting your sense of smell and taste back, your tastes will change. I used to require having 2 15ml bottles of a butterfinger flavor in my fridge. Now I don't vape it at all. Personally, I only last about 2 orders of a 15ml bottle and then move on to something else. Its always an adventure. (Still looking for the perfect Green Apple flavor)

I have 4 flavors that I vape regularly, maybe another 6-10 that I go to when I'm in the mood for a change, the rest aren't objectionable but there's always something better in my stash. I've only hit 2 flavors = drain cleaner, although I've considered reordering some of tobacco selections from my earliest days to see if they are as unimpressive as I remember. I wonder if some of those flavors fell out of favor due to my equipment and technique.

Helpful hints
> 50% off juice is not a great deal if the juice sucks for you
> If a supplier has one juice you love it doesn't mean their other flavors will work for you. Buy smallest samples.
> Juice taste varies by equipment. High voltage (6+v) can wreck some flavors, others taste better at HV. Dripping or using a carto also varies the taste.
> Eat a cracker and drink water in between trying juices. Try it a few times before giving up on a juice.
> Steeping helps diminish the perfume taste from some suppliers
> When you are certain you don't like a juice or batch of juices sell them quickly in the classifieds or swap section to give someone else a chance at some just-born juice at a great price/trade
> Buy the top 3 sellers from the most popular suppliers in sample sizes. Call and ask for a list if their top sellers aren't posted.
> Reviews are worthless in determining if a juice is right for you
> Watch the classys for what suppliers don't show up often and when they do the juice sells in 30 minutes or less
> Read posts from active vapers from 09' to early '10. They have been where we are.

Wishing you vaping nirvana :)
