So, I'm using a Kanger Pro Mini setup. I like it, but some parts are wearing out, and I'm thinking of upgrading. I've heard that juice actually tastes better in some PVs than in others . . . I'm skeptical, but I have no experience with higher-end devices, so maybe it's true.

Money is no object, within reason. I'm okay with dropping some bucks if it'll get me something that I really like that will last a long time.

Here are my requirements:

  • Easy to use. No fussing with hardware. No fiddling with settings required.
  • Simple and affordable to get new coils. I love coil-eating juices, and I don't make my own.
  • Sturdy.
  • Juice tastes awesome.

It doesn't necessarily need to be portable. I could use one setup at home and continue using the Kanger when out and about. I guess portability would be nice.

So, sell me. :) Tell me what springs to mind for these requirements, based on your own experience.

Then yeah the provari would be a good bet. A couple other high end pvs are the reo and the vtr? I use a vision spinner with an evod tank daily, if you get one make sure you get the metal vision spinner not the plastic one

Edit

If you are worried about coils you may consider building them yourself, it costs me a couple pennies for a fresh coil and only takes maybe five minutes to build one

almost sounds like a provari and a RBA. if you have a reliable person to make your coils they can last a month or better. then all you have to do is change cotton (or whatever) when flavor backs off. if i hadn't fell completely in love with my drippers i think i would go that route myself for an at home only set-up...HMMM

Melissa the problem I'm having with your wish list is "affordable to get new coils" and "I love coil-eating juices" are somewhat mutually exclusive. If you like coil mucking flavors nothing survives that reality. Then it becomes a matter of what you are willing to live with, or what you are willing to do.

You either have to stick with the likes of a Kanger tank - and be willing to either chuck the coils as needed, or learn to clean and rebuild them. Or you have to be willing to move on to something that requires building simple coils - that allows you to change out the wicking and clean or replace the coil as needed according to how bad your liquids gum up the works.

But this is the reality of vaping gear as it exists. Coils and wicks get mucked up, some liquids will muck up coils faster than others, and the only things you can do are replace them, clean them, or rebuild them - depending on your desires or level of commitment to dealing with gear.

So there's basically no such thing as a higher-end device with easily replaced coils?

I've tried many different cleaning methods, including dry-burning, but there's just nothing as good as a fresh coil. I accepted a regular stream of new coils as an expense I must bear, figuring that it was better than cigarettes. I really doubt that I will start building my own . . . there's nothing preventing me, I suppose, but I have enough hobbies.

Melissa, My go to devices for everywhere are my Provari's (yes I went there) with a Kanger Aero Tank and either single or dual coils.

Easy operation, dead reliable and coils can be had five for about five bucks. Just fill'em and go.

The Provari unit has a feel like no other and is built to last. (Made in America baby)

While you need to go to Provari for the unit, may I suggest Sun Vapors for the topper. Lightning fast shipping with great service along with great price.

This setup should keep you quite happy while you explore others.

Good luck!

    No you can't
It sound as though your at the place that works for you, moving up and you would be getting more involved with making your own coils.

At twelve cents each you could reduce your cost down to around 3 cents but as you said your happy with the twelve cents.

I would just stay where you are until you want to experiment a little. ;)

I love the protanks and think you should stay with those they are the easiest to use and replace coils , get a nice ego twist , would go right for the 1300 so you don't waste money , they even have a 1500 out now but a bit on the expensive right now being newer , if you want to drop $50 get a itaste svd I love mine , but be careful once you taste the difference you will have to have them all , lol
