Well, I get them wholesale at twelve cents each, so I'm not sure it's worth my time.

Is it true that I couldn't do that with a non-Kanger vaporizer?

The basic stuff is going to variations on a similar theme. An Aspire BCC isn't going to be any better than a Kanger when it comes to coil longevity in context of your liquids. You could try cartos or carto tanks, but I'm betting they won't last any longer than what you are experiencing with a Kanger clearo before the performance craps out and you have to replace the carto.

Backing up and looking at the total picture of what you are asking for, head over to the Reos mods sub forum and take a look around. Reos Mods

This isn't going to be cheap - around $230+ for a complete setup. But the PV itself is pretty much indestructible. Any part that could be broken on it can either be replaced yourself or sent back for repair. This is not electronic - there are no displays, switches, settings. When it comes to operation it's as simple as it can get.

You will be topping that with a Reomizer rebuildable atty from the same place. It's one of the simplest RBA's to put a coil into because it's so plain and the work area is very open. But to do that it still involves wrapping a few turns of wire to create a coil and using a small screwdriver to fix it into place. Then you create a small wick out of ordinary cotton and feed it into the center of the coil. With that setup if the wick gets mucked up you can just pull it out and replace it. You can still dry burn the coil as needed. Since the coil and wick are independent - you toss/replace the wick when it's gone crappy and dry burn the coil with no wick in place - some people have gone months using the same coil.

What you would get out of this combination is much more flavor than from a clearo and a much less fussy device. Your maintenance costs would come down to a box of cotton balls - to build enough wicks to last 10 lifetimes. And the cost of nichrome wire to make the coils.

What a Reomizer is, and how you build a coil & wick for it here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/413000-rm2-rba-2-0-reomizer-2-rebuild-tutorial.html

There are a few other points about it - batteries to use, how it feeds liquid - but this should be enough to give you an idea what it is. If you absolutely hated it you could sell it in the classifieds and only lose about 20% over what you paid. They hold their value very well.

Heh, it looks like a flask. It sure has good reviews, though. Thanks.

Any other suggestions from the crowd?

Melissa, I'm female, and a grandma, ha! I was worried about the size and shape of the MVP 2, but so many people said great things about it, that I ordered one. I'm so glad I did. The size and shape is not a problem at all. It fits very comfortably in my hand. It is not as large as it looks in the pics, about the size of a slightly "fat" narrow cell phone.

The battery life is amazing, and it performs very well with all kinds of tanks and clearomizers. I had Vision Spinners, which worked well, but the MVP is so much better.:)

Hmm . . . very interesting. A bit of a commitment. But, as you say, I could resell if I ended up not liking it.

I shall study it some more. Thanks.

Head for the Reos sub forum and there are plenty of people there to gently talk you into it. :D

Seriously, a funny thing happened when I got my first Reo: I just stopped using all my other stuff. There was no plan to that or no comparing the Reo to a VAMO or an eVic or... it just happened. It's been said about a couple high end devices, that if you just bought one Reo or one Provari to begin with you probably could have saved more money doing that and just skipping the eGos, the VAMO's, the cheap mech mods and come out saving money in the process. I have no regrets about my other PV's and mechs - all I know is I only use the Reo since I got it.

FWIW, and in case anyone else is pondering this question, the Reo isn't for everyone. The fiddling with coils is not for me. The flavor is muted; sometimes I'm not even quite sure what I'm vaping.

I just bought a Volcano (not the pyramid, the cylinder) from my local B&M and am pretty happy with it. I don't expect ever to touch the Reo again. I don't know if I'll sell it or keep it around as an emergency backup, but I'm not going to keep screwing around with that when the Volcano or even the Kanger is so much simpler and provides better flavor.
