Mike drives me crazy when he wanders away while I am still speaking. I used to follow him..now I just call him unspeakable names. he comes back and says..I though you were done, no dufus, I was just drawing a breath.
My other peeve is an old friend of mine who is very important..at least in his own mind. He is always late, he is always on a business call and he can't be bothered to call back. His wife on the other hand is sweet and availible. She's a keeper..he's a pill!

The "dinner is ready" issue? After one genuine attempt to get DH's attention, I now just sit down and begin to eat!!! This way I don't feel like a nag or like I'm begging him to eat the meal I've just prepared. It works and there are no hard feelings.

MK, people who are chronically late - not just 5-10 minutes - drive me nuts!

i do that sometimes...most often to a person at work who won't stop talking to me when i try to leave the conversation more gracefully after 15-20 minutes of details that are so far from the original subject that i just have to run away.

Don't know why people can just do what you asked and they agreed to do :grr:

I always get annoyed because the son and his wife are always late to dinner. If we ate at 5 they would show up at 5:15, 15 min not that big of a deal but they know that when I say we eat at 5.....then darn it we eat at 5!!!! Why can't they show up 15 or 10 minutes early like everyone else??? Fixed that though, I tell them we are eating at 5 when we are really eating at 5:30 :D:D

I do that too, tell them we're eating earlier than we are.

I'm with you on people who don't do what they say they're going to do rkay....especially because i don't usually ask unless i really need it to be done.

Sneaky Fudgey! I like :)

This needs to be done...arrangements that have been made for child care while DD has her surgery this coming Thursday. Someone that agreed to watch the youngest, then switched up their plans on us leaving us scrambling to find someone else. Not always easy to do when most work during the week. :censored: HELLO..this is important. And it's not just so DD can have time off from the boys to go have fun.

And this is why we usually end up doing everything ourselves ! ...sigh...

If I could be at different locations at the same time, I would do just that.

My daughter just had grandson's College/shower. The lady who was to bring the chips...didn't. The lady with the dip..did. Too far from a store to go for chips.

I was finally forced to carry scissors in the car. The G'kids wanted their toys or whatever as soon as we got back to the car. There was NO way to get into those toys without a drill, blowtorch and crowbar! BUT just try to open some chips..they rip and tear, spilling chips all over the car..God forfend it's cheeto's! The wonderful orange cheesy powder will never come out of the car seat!
Oh I and I had to buy new sunglasses..no way to get the tags off..thank goodness I rarely clean my car out..the scissors were still in the car!

OHHHH !! And the thick stuff they use now that is sealed all the way around !! It's terrible !!!
You're right - It just took me 5 minutes to open a package of D-Cells with a box-cutter. Lucky I didn't lose a finger in the process. What they need to do is replace the childproof medicine caps with this blister packaging. No kid would ever expend the effort to get into meds. But, on second thought, I wouldn't either. Scratch that thought. Delete. [duh]
