If you want simplicity and ease of use, get her a Riva or eGo and some cartomizers. 510s are great, but you don't want her charging the batteries every hour or two. You can teach her how to refill cartos if she's willing to do that, otherwise fill them up for her.

I'll ditto that...However I'd say you don't really even HAVE to refill the cartos..
If simplicity is more important than cost, she can just use prefilled cartos exclusively.
There is your ultimate ecig setup for simplicity.

Yes more expensive than refilling, but in the ballpark of about the same cost of smoking regular cigarettes (probably still cheaper than smokes).
And if cost is the motivation...well.....

what does it mean 2165 analogs avoided? i am so confused. my husband said he wants the e-cigarette to look like a real cigarette

Analog is an affectionate term Vapers came up with to call traditional tobacco cigarettes.
Electronic Cigarette = Digital, therefore Regular cigarette = Analog.
Flawed logic yes, but anyway...

Since I switched to Vaping, I have avoided smoking 2165 cigarettes.
In other words, if I wasn't vaping, I would have smoked 2165 cigarettes since the day I started vaping.

Wow, feels good to actually write that....:2cool:

If he wants it to look like a real cigarette, I'd suggest the KR808D-1

But honestly, it won't be long before he realizes that function outweighs asthetics.
Working well far outweighs what it looks like...In most vaper's opinions anyway.

analog is a regular cig justy a geeky name for one.

If it has to look like a real cig which I get for starters. I would go with a 510 and cartomizers, just buy some extra batteries because the weak point of all cig sized e-cigs is lack of battery time.

It means that person hasn't smoked that many cancer sticks since switching to a pv.

A e-cig that looks like a real cig?
Hmmm, they really don't look or feel like a real one but a couple come close - the Joye 510 is only one example.

I soon found out that using an eCig that looked like a real cig was a mistake. Everybody that doesn't smoke will take it upon themselves to tell you not to smoke, and where not to smoke. I changed my mind fast. I'd get something, prolly 510 based off the internet. Most the local eCigs cost too much and are junk. JMHO

Good Luck with his quit though.

I love my KR808D-1. The standard battery with cartomizer is a cigarette form factor, and they do make a slightly longer battery with more life, if necessary.

A standard starter kit has two batteries and a recharger that can plug into a PC (USB) or normal AC (it includes a little AC-USB adapter). If your grandmother gets out frequently, away from power, a starter kit that has what's called a PCC includes a little case with built-in battery, something that can recharge the KR808D-1 batteries several times during the day.

Multiple vendors sell the KR808D-1. NHaler and vapor4life are two I've used (v4l calls theirs the VaporKing), and there are many others (check the suppliers forum area).

The "right" nicotine level can be important. I smoked a pack a day of regular Marlboros, needed the 24 mg/ml strength liquid; others are fine with 16 - 18 strength.

Good luck!
