What side effects, if at all, have you experience from vaping?

The same good things that have been repeated here. And there are many of them.

The bad things? I will list them, but I will list them with the disclaimer that they may or may not be a result of vaping and just a result of my age, but they do directly coincide with my vaping:

--I lift weights regularly, and my workouts have suffered greatly. I cannot lift as much or for as much endurance as I could before vaping.
--I get blood colored spots on my arms that go away in a few days, but continue to appear randomly. Occasionally they will become open sores, but not usually.
--The usual dehydration issues, I can't complain about that one though.
Early studies show that vaping affects your breathing up to 10 mins after stopping.

The blood spots that can turn into sores, dude, seriously, see your PCP.

I've had a numb/burnt tongue and limited sense of taste for nearly a week despite drinking about 6l of water every day. It's driving me bananas. Tried brushing, tongue scraping, and mouthwash obsessively, tried palette cleansers like ginger, lemon, coffee grounds. Nothing helps. Not flavor fatigue because it persists with any flavor.

Usually smoke 50-50 12mg.

Hmmm, maybe its the nic, vg, or pg. Seems to have become persistent after I started DIY.
Anyone had any issues with nic/pg/vg from MFS?
Maybe it's the voltage or wattage you're vaping at.

I was never a cigarette smoker. So. Yeah, it's the vaping. The propylene glycol....it's a dissicant, meaning it draws water. Dries out all mucous membranes and lips.

Most of us are ex-cigarette smokers so its a natural assumption to make.

I think the word youre looking for is dessicant.

And while its true that Propylene Glycol is used as a dessicant in liquid spray towers Ive seen no research or other anecdotal evidence to back your assertion up in relation to vaping causing sensitive gums.

The dry mouth that many of us experience as vapers also occurs with people who use 100 percent Vegetable Glycerin.

Yeah, I read that wrong, fibro fog. I'm guessing it's the nicotine, but not sure. My fiance has the same side affect with his gums from time to time.

I was actually enjoying coughing up the funk from my lungs. Was making me breath better. Then I got hold some 50/50 juice and the funk started getting so thick and sticky that it was very difficult to expel.

Switched to 75v/25p and everything started to loosen up again so I'm staying with high VG.

Edit: oh, and I need to stop spending my every waking moment in these forums.,

I didn't drink enough water before I quit smoking but now have to drink for sure. However something recent has developed and it seems to have happened all of a sudden. The joints in both of my thumbs experience pain when ever I grasp something. I was told it is probably arthritis, but it happened overnight! Could lack of water due to PG (desiccants) dehydration be contributing to my sore thumb joints?

Two things:

The onset of arthritis can appear to be quite sudden.I think that the reason for this is because our bodies natural pain killers kick in and negate the early signs of it. Then when the pain level reaches a certain threshold arthritis appears as if out of nowhere.

The other thing you might want to do is have your water tested. Ingesting large amounts of flouride can mimic arthritis.

FLUORIDE WATCH - When Joint pain is not Arthritis

    Ok, I'll jump in....
    - runny nose and sinus issues, any PG and my nose is clogged up, VG and its runny
    - if I don't buy any more tanks or mods to try this month I may finally get 'ahead' and be saving some money, otherwise I still have most of what I've bought, unlike being tossed in a smelly ashtray and sent out with the trash.
    - the SO likes that I'm not stinking up the house/car/truck and all our clothes anymore.

I've had sensitivity in my gums at first, and of course the need to drink more water, constantly.
Just dry mouth for me! everything else is just as it used to be apart from all the nastys from smoking! :)

Drinking more obviously but apart from that all good
