Coincidentally concerning bassists, the video features Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Thank you for that, Iamfoltzy. It's good to hear real musicians playing real instruments doing hip hop.
I was beginning to lose hope.
Flea is a great bass player and fun to watch in performance.

Thankfully this is directed at the young men. Unfortunately, if I were to try to bust a move I'd only bust a hip. hee hee.

You have a great sense of humor, AMBKJ.
I think that's what got me off the hook for that previous post.

Iamfoltzy's video post reminded me of this J. Geils Band vid.
I'll bet you can bust these moves, AMBKJ, without endangering yourself too much but this video is a painful reminder to me that most white men dance funny.

YouTube - J. Geils Band - Centerfold (2001 Digital Remaster)

I remember when J. Geils Band was a blues band.....

You speak the Truth.
Ohhhh, J Geils. Sad story. When I was young - in what, '74? my older sister had "Give It To Me", on 45 I think. Then there was a disturbing incident in the home and somehow in my mind the incident was connected to that song. I couldn't bear to hear it ever again and I absolutely hated that band and would not listen. I think I saw them open up for the Rolling Stones (or somebody) in '78 but I refused to even look up at the stage! It had NOTHING to do with the music being good or bad; I just couldn't handle anything to do with J Geils!
It took me many many years to let myself listen. A good band!! And, to top it off, I no longer even remember what "the incident" was! Geeeeez.

So you really didn't like my post #309? Nobody? Anybody? I just laff and laff and laff....maybe its just me...

Please allow me to re-post it:

That's some pretty serious trauma. Had you looked up at the stage you would have seen a skinny white man dancing funny. That's all I remember about them from the L.A. Coliseum concert in 1981.
Prince (The man who become the "guy formerly known as Prince" and then became Prince again - for good reason) almost got booed off the stage in a hail of tossed shoes.
