At Balaklava on 25 October 1854 during the Crimean War, the Light Brigade made the most magnificent and most brutal charge in military history. 666 cavalrymen armed with sabre and lance charged down a mile-long valley, straight at the muzzles of Russian cannons. In the slaughter that followed, many fell to roundshot and shell fired from the front and both sides. Those who survived took a bloody revenge on the enemy. #BalaclavaDay

On the anniversary of The Charge Of The Light Brigade, Terry Brighton delves into the history, strange numerical co-incidences and why you shouldn't drink too much and be late for work...

I am still trying to get back to some listening. I heard a Queen song today and the multiple vocal, and musical facets really expressed a complex bit of music and arrangement. I also, got whiff that the lead guitarist had PHd in Astro Physics. I need to look into that. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Yes brian may does have his doctorate in astro physics. As the story goes he was on his way to completing his doctoral thesis when queen formed, and put it on hold. Then after freddie died, rest his soul, brian went back and completed it. So i guess it proves that you can be a rocker, and be a rocket scientist as well[emoji4]

Listening/watching their studio recordings it is rather apparent that a lot of multi-tracking was done, and that is fine for me. It shows creativity to a bigger/broader product. The live performances lose some of the studio effects, but the energy, talent, and showmanship really come out.

I heard a song on the radio yesterday and it was...moving. This morning, I was listening on YouTube for the last 2+ hours and found this compilation. All were very talented, but I think Freddie Mercury had the creativity down pat.

It is the first greatest hits, but some were from video, some live, and some both. I jumped back and forth between dealing with e-mails. Its about and hour. I hope it is worthy.
