Okay why is it that every time I want to check up on a thread I have to dig through a bunch of irrelevant off topic posts to find what I'm looking for?? Is it that hard to stay on topic?? Start a stupid thread for flirting and dumb jokes if you must but don't go through ruining all the threads, because then Imeo has to go through and delete all that crap, and then people start accusing him of deleting so called "negative comments" when the truth of the matter is he's cleaning up after you guys most of the time. If you don't have you anything to contribute thats relevant to the topic, just move along.

I completely agree Crash, in fact it's one of the reasons I hardly post here any more :( & I'm sure we aren't the only ones that are fed up of wading through all the flirting & OT posts.

OK, I know that makes me sound like a miserable git (& maybe I am) but at the best of times I find it hard to keep up with Imeo's amazing inventions so I really don't want to have to wade through all OT posts.

Nuck, Crash is right, I've even had PM's in my own e-cig forum about how annoying it is.

Yea go register on dating sites, or comedy forums or something. The most annoying thing is he makes the threads sticky and puts them at the top so they're easier for us to find, but whats the bloody point??? When I have to dig through 2 pages of irrelevant posts to find a relevant reply or comment.

I agree with him. That was my somewhat unsuccessful imitation of the usual fluff posts you have to skim past to get to the ones with content :)

Ahhhh, but it is when you say your off the wall comments...... Have read many on Imeo's sites...... Like when you joke with Lisa and Di.... But it is OK when you do it......

Yes but I always try to keep my comments out of the important threads, and I've been doing so for a good while now. I have no problem with people flirting and messing around, but why corrupt every single thread??? And I'm not saying its okay when I do it either, and sure everyone does it once in awhile, but I think it happens a little too often here.

I have to agree with this thread, people come here to see new innovations, get help and advice, nothing against fun but please guys keep it in the relevant threads, this has happened before and its why the threads "general talk and foolishness" and "the nonsense" threads were created, this is a manufacturers sub forum,i know its not intended but your doing him no favours here

Why don't you say what you really feel, Crash?
:D:D:D:D:D

And you'll always get some of this crap - it's the nature of forums, as many people love it as hate it - but yes, I understand that sometimes it goes past the point of being funny and moves into the territory of purely irritating.

Duly noted (for my part anyway) - can't speak for anyone else.........

Yes, please dont feel shy at all Crash !!!!!8-o8-o
this has been the nature of this forum for 12 months-
I dont think it will ever change,
however it is sometimes worse than other times--

we do get carried away sometimes,
and we do get slapped for being OT - a lot -
and we behave for a while then - ooooops it happens again----

well I guess it is slapping time again -----

I will talk to my partner in crime -- haha

We all go too far sometimes, hun, I've done it too.

The point I think Crash is making is that some people (who shall remain nameless) seem to take great delight in trying to say that the GG forum is the most censored forum and they say it's due to Imeo deleting valid customer complaints, etc (which in my experience, he has NEVER done).

So in the interests of trying to defeat these false allegations, I guess he has taken to deleting fewer OT posts.

However, this has also backfired as people have begun to get very upset when they can't find information they are looking for due to the quantity of the irrelevant posts.

So, Imeo is in a no-win situation. Does he leave everyone to run riot all over the forum and have complaints about this - or does he delete all the OT stuff and let the false censorship people win?

There's a third option - we all still have our fun, but try harder to keep it fully on-topic or in dedicated threads.

It must still be kept a fun place though - otherwise I won't really want to visit it as often as I do.

He should consider gettiing an uninterested third party to "sweep up " everynight. That person better have a good reason why he "swept out the post" ....problem solved, thread stays semi pure....(you can't delete every single post that might be "off base", sometimes you have to wait and see where the thread is going before you can "sweep" it)

I don't want a fight, and I'm not pointing at any one person, it takes 2 hands to clap, just tone it down, or stick in threads where it belongs. Every time I look at threads on here I have to dig thru a couple of pages of junk, and it's getting to the point where I hardly post, and I like posting here, when I have something to contribute, when I don't I keep my mouth shut, or if I want to post something stupid, I stick it in the non sense thread.

This would be complete overkill - particularly for a forum famed for its fun atmosphere.
I just think it's up to the regular posters here to self-censor a tiny bit more............

I'm not a fan of censorship at all, I just want to keep the relevant threads clean, people can have their fun outside of important threads.

I think it's nice to have fun everywhere, but not at the expense of the topic of the thread. This involves a degree of self-censorship, otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation. :D:D:D
