Ctruth, you must be kidding. That is so incredibly offensive to anyone from the south.

Tomlinson Hill: The Remarkable Story of Two Families who Share the Tomlinson ... - Chris Tomlinson - Google Books

Excerpt:

["On a big plantation the slave cabins were grouped together, creat-
ing a small community. The Falls Plantation was typical, with the slave
quarters located in the river bottoms about a mile from Churchill's
house. Slaves rarely approached a planter's house unless they worked
there, and they would see him only when he inspected the fields or
their quarters.28
The former slaves' oral histories confirm that most planters fol-
lowed accepted plantation practices. The workday lasted "from see to
can't see" The only day off was Sunday, though some planters gave a
half day off on Saturday, or every other Saturday. This free time was
used to clean a slave's quarters,
and often included an inspection?
While slaveholders wanted to protect their slaves from disease, they
didn't hesitate to use violence to intimidate them. Slaveholders often
publicly ridiculed planters who did not regularly use violence, arguing].......

I don't find it offensive at all. It's historical, and true. And speaking of old southerner terminology... my grandmother would always say "I'm gonna make you daince joober!" when she was about to discipline one of the many chldren she kept. We were ALL puzzled about that one, for many decades... no one knew where it came from. Then a few years ago, I had run out of library books to read, so I picked up one of my son's "Classic American Literature" books to read, Huckleberry Finn. And in that book, light dawned at last: it was apparently a thing that the slaves did, in their religious services, "dancing the Juba". Basically dancing in a circle, hands clapping overhead, chanting, hollering, etc.

My family were sharecroppers, way back when, much too poor to own slaves, but apparently the term lingered in the vernacular of the old south looooooooong past those days; her mother would have been born about 1880-ish, so it was already a very old term when my great-grandmother was born.

I love the way "up tight" usually translates as "culpability".
In some folk.

EDIT: In hindsight - Most youngsters wouldn't know any better.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you.

Well, I guess I'm addicted.
I could never make it from the bed to the shower…..
I mean.. you gotta let the water run..

Haha, I used to vape it up wile the shower was getting hot. Then I'd jump in and leave my mod sitting in the bathroom until I was done. One day I grabbed my mod afterwards and noticed all the condensation on it... Same kinda stuff you wipe off the mirror after a shower. I just felt like I was treating my mod and battery bad. I kept thinking "if I keep getting hot steam all over this bad boy day after day, it might not be good". Moisture on the batter, spring, threading. I mean, I know it's stainless steel... But just couldn't do it anymore.

Now when I take a hot shower, I make sure my mod ain't in the bathroom. But I love vooping (vaping wile you poop), lol. TMI I know, but at the same time.... You know you all do it too. Every smoker and coffee drinker knows what the two do to you in the morning. But now instead of putting your cigarette out real quick and running to the bathroom, you grab your mod and juice and post up. Good natural air freshener as well.

Okay, I think I just killed this thread. But you probably laughed, and if you did... You know exactly what I'm talking'bout.

It's not really the time it's the stage of you wake up routine. I wake up at 6:00 then vape when it calls me, maybe before teeth brushing.

Yep... there are only about 3 days a month when I get up before 11am, and usually not till about noon. But hey, I'm here at ECF till 3am, I gotta sleep sometime. :D But I'm generally vaping by about 15 mins after waking.
