I have an ego-t my wife has a halo (joye 510) both been vaping about 2 weeks now.

Ok so I have a few questions, we are approaching the time to either pick autos or cartos . so my questions are do I need and adapter battery extender to (ego) use a 510 carto? what if I want to add a tank mod (ego) what all do I need? what kind of cartos should I avoid? as far as ohms and what not. (due to batteries blowing up) which is the most cost effective approach? Basically I am after some sort of medium as far as carts go that we both can use the cost effective part. are the cartos used in the tank mods ok for the Joye 510's?

Thanks in advance

You don't need any kind of adapter or extender to use most 510 cartomizers on your eGo-T batteries. [The eGo cone might not fit over some of the cartos, but functionality would not be impaired.] My favorite 510-compatibles are the Boge 2.0 (especially on 3.7V) and Smok Tech 1.7 Mega Single Coil (on a 3.2V eGo or 3.7V Riva or mod). The Smok Tech Mega Dual Coils are wildly popular, but IMO require the 4.2V+ delivered by a variable voltage mod. The Boge and dual coils can be purchased from most suppliers. I get my Smok Tech 1.7 ohm cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping or SmokTek (a supplier, not to be confused with the manufacturer Smok Tech).

Your wife will need to stay away from LR (low-resistance) cartomizers on here skinny, low-mAh 510 batteries. LR requires batteries of at least 450 mAh. The Boge 2.0 ohm cartos might be OK, but nothing lower resistance.

By "tank mod", I'm guessing that you are referring to the increasingly very popular cartomizer-surrounding tanks, rather than to the small "tanks" (actually filler-less cartridges) that came with your eGo-T kit. These are quite wonderful, mainly because they keep the cartomizer constantly very moist. Otherwise, cartos need to be topped off frequently for optimum performance. Such tanks are primarily geared to mods (larger and wider than fat batts like the eGo). They do work effectively on eGo-T batteries, but your PV will be top-heavy and may look a little funny. The look of these tanks on your wife's skinny 510 battery would be ... well, absurd.;)
