What to do with lighter colection?

I always have a lighter, pocket knife, and magnetic compass on me in case of emergency. It was a habit instilled in me at a young age. I end up using all three more often than most people think, at least 2 of them once a day (for some random task). Point being, if you were caught in a snowstorm on a mountain pass and remembered that you have a knife and a lighter in the glove box, it could save your life, or you could just use it to open a couple beers. Either way, it's not junk just because you don't use it to light the ends of death sticks anymore.

Just my 2 cents though.

I have 18 french made lighters. I know a lighter is a nice accessory to have on hand, so I plan on keeping 3 of them. As far as Craigslist I don't see any Linge 2 Palladium lighters listed, so I am guessing it's not the best place to list it. I was really hoping someone knew of an active lighter enthusiasts forum, or perhaps a cigar forum?

I kept a few bics to light candles and logs in the fireplace with,,,,,,,,,tossed a few in the camper for camp fires,,,,,,,

but I've never heard of a dunhill I'm guessing it's a fancy kind of expensive lighter???

Yeah I did that, but if you notice the results on the first 3 pages are for not all that active forums, that's why I posted here, to see if anyone familiar with the hobby knew of an active board.

You might want to look into auction houses or antique/collectible stores. Sometimes those stores have monthly (or less) auctions too, complete with mailing lists, etc.

Keep a Zippo. You never know if you have to light a candle or a kerosene heater. Comes in handy during power outages.
