I sold my SS Stealth last week to a guy new to the GG world. He did pay a very decent amount for it, including the button and batteries. I just got a message from him saying that the Stealth doesn't work right, something with the firing pin ( no clue what that is) and that his attys don't work on it. I really can't say verbatim since I'm on my phone but I thought he would be happ. I told him that GG's have a lifetime warranty and if something would be wrong, Bruce will take care of it. He said he would need a new top cap. I really don't understand, I didn't have any problems with it and offered o buy him more batteries since the ones he got were not the newest. I also told him to go to the GG forum and ask for help if he has a specific qyestion. I turned doewn six great offers because he said he answered first. He did fiddle around with some pins (again, I never did anything to my Stealth beside switching out the button, hence I have no idea what he is talking about). All I know is that the Stealth worked great when I send it. Sorry this is so long but this freaked me out. I tradedand sold stuff before on here and NEVER had a problem. Thanks

Yep, it's very probably the pin- Stealth Connector Pin

It probably just needs to be tightened down a bit if anything, so contact is made. Worst case, they would need a new one of those, not a new top cap I don't think.
But I've had 3 Stealth caps and they've all worked with anything I've thrown on there...telling them to come here was a good move for sure, we can help figure it out!

I am said member... The inside (bottom) of the original button was tarnished. The contact point inside where the button makes contact was tarnished. Therefore proper contact was not happening. I installed a new button, polished/buffed the contact point inside and it fires better. The center pin/screw is recessed so far down that half of my attys and cartos wont make contact.
Since the seller decided to take this public, we can go into how the original post was for the stealth, 5 batts and a ss drip tip. She asked to keep the drip tip I said ok. I received the package today and 1 of the batts was wrapped so tight that when I opened it the casing ripped off the bottom. Another of the batts has a dent so deep in the neg pole that it is unsafe for use. So add all that up plus the fact that I paid well over double face value of all said products, and yep I'm a bit ticked. I understand after reading the warranty that if I pay 10 euros they will replace any defective part.
Also she so graciously asked me 3 times to let her know first if I ever decide to sell it, to give her first chance. Well here we are ready to sell and guess what? She wants no part of it, and understandably so.
Now that I got that off my chest, how does the center pin get adjusted? The only way visible is the hex head that is exposed. That is going to raise the screw head?

By the way its prob not a bad idea to reinforce the fact that these types of situations are not meant for the general public. These are best kept to private council as that is what PMs are for. I dont necessarly mean she has to communicate w me for a resolution, but we definetly do not post this kind of disaster. She should of sought private council then come to me w a resolution.

Ok I cannot comment and do not care to do so over a private sale between you and the seller. To answer your question on the pin issue however, you can adjust the pin from the inside of the cap. The hex head you see from the inside is actually the short pin and it's screwed in the black plastic retainer. Just screw the pin in from the inside as much as you can and that should solve your contact problem. Hope that helps.

It refuses to move. I am a finish carpenter with "man hands" if you will. I have wrapped a rubber band around the outside as to gain some grip and this hex head wont move.

The issue here my friend is not what the spring is made of.
This won't solve your connection problem, but also check what type of battery spring is installed. If it's not gold but silver, get a new one from COV, it will fire a lot better with the golden ones. :)

I know Capt, that's why I started my sentence with: This won't solve your connection problem ...
And you already told him what to do, didn't you?

But he actually also has the old battery spring so when he figured out how to get a connection, he will notice it won't fire very good with the old style spring. Just gave him a tip ... if you read his post again you will also see that he got it to work with something but it doesn't fire very well ...

Ok, now I am really about to freak out. I "played you for a sucker" by not buying it back right away? Why would I when I just sold it. Of course I would have bought it back a few months down the road. I should have went with my gut feeling. You told me to make sure and pack it safely. It took me an hour to get your package done by wrapping every battery in bubble wrap individually, made sure the Stealth was safe. I offered to buy you batteries since I "overpacked" them. I have no idea why you have problems with the Stealth but I vaped it day in and day out without a problem. I am certainly not a shady person, nor dishonest but your accusations did make me rather upset.
