I had a similar problem with my GGTS when I got it from another member. You might try using a set of pliers to CAREFULLY back the hex nut out and separate it from the insulator. That might reveal what's making it stick. Here's a link to the GG Stealth exploded diagram. On mine, I ended up having to replace the center pin with a 6D box nail wrapped with tape just "tall enough" to fit in the insulator bushing, added a couple O-rings and then used a cutoff wheel to cut the "channel" in the top of the pin (nail). Being a carpenter, you probably have most of this lying around somewhere. That said, it is a pretty bad situation and I'm sorry things didn't go well, but as Silver didn't mention any names, I believe she was doing as you suggested by trying to resolve it privately, she just didn't know enough about them to help out and reached out publicly for help to try and help you out. But that's between the two of you as far as I'm concerned. Happy to help in any way I can.

Guys I appreciate all the help. Please keep this technical. This never should of come up like this.
You are saying that you replaced the c pin w a 6 penny nail? I didnt spend an arm and a leg to rebuild this thing. Dont get me wrong, I appreciate your help and I will be trying this as I have no other option tonight.

If it's all the way in then why are you not getting contact?? Remove the battery and get a pen light and shine it down the tube and check when you press the button it contacts the battery post. This is a totally mechanical mod so there are only just a few reasons you wouldn't get contact. Also make sure the 510 connector up top is clean.

Yeah, pics of the center pin will help. The specific problem with mine is that it didn't have the "channel" and had both "ears" broken off making it too short to make connection between my GGTS and AVS. IMG_0280.jpgThe diameter of GGTS happened to be close to the 6 penny size box nail, don't know for sure what size will work with Stealth, but I posted more as an idea for a creative solution to your dilemma.

I suspect the pin has been forced in the plastic retainer or screw in wrong and ruined the plastic's threads. If this is the case you'll need a new plastic replacement.

No sir I just cleaned it and threaded it in most of the way by hand then finished it w a socket. The plastic threads are fine.

Do we know what the thread count of part # 5.3 is? I can simply order a new longer one and mill it to desired length.

I don't know, but I just checked COV and they do have the firing pin in stock. Might be cheaper/easier than milling a new one. If they had the GGTS version in stock, I would've much rather done that than go redneck/ghetto/insert-your-own-here.

Ok good, because I've never heard of an atty or carto not firing on the Stealth because the pin doesn't contact. Now you can go back to the sheep issue :D

My good man! You see I am capable of juggling 2 issues at once. I have 4 kids under 12... I run crews of 100 men on large jobsites. Bring the sheep, the firing pin and the... well we will just leave it at that.
Thanks for all your help, both of you.

Why do the extension and replacement parts on the COV Stealth page look as if they are white w SS threads?
