What to do...

So today I woke up and randomly thought to myself... "I need a new mod!". And I started looking at mech mods, because that's what I've been into for the past while.
Then I thought to myself, " why not get a dna 30 mod?"... Well that's when my problems began, now I can't decide!

I really do enjoy my mech mods with gennies up top, but I kinda want to change it up since I haven't used a regulated device in a few months, but again idk if I really want to.

I've been looking at Panzers, and Stingrays for mechs, but trying to find them would be a big hassle.
And I've also been looking at the Vaporshark dna 30, but I don't know how long the lead times are for those...
I mean I could always go down to my local b&m and pick up a nice mech from them, but I'm unsure of what they have.. Should of picked up the hanamodz v3 from them when they were in stock!

Please help guys/gals! I can't decide what I want!! Decicions decisions...

Here is the question you should ask yourself.


What exactly are you going to use this for?


If you aren't subohming to super low levels then the DNA30 would be a HUGE waste of money. If you're not going to go below 1ohm with your coil then you could save a ton of money and still get wattage regulation by buying a Kick2 module rather than a DNA30 mod. If you aren't going to go below .7 ohms you could get a DNA20 rather than a DNA30 and save about $50.

*NOTE: Either of these options will allow lower ohm coils than what I listed, but you'll have to set the wattage lower than what you would get with an unregulated mech mod with 3.7v charge in the battery.

I guess I would use it for what I'm already doing, running .3-1 ohm coils in gennies and drippers.
I was kind of thinking about the DNA because the only regulated device I own, minus throwing the kick in my nemmy, is a vamo which I haven't used in months. I was curious if a higher grade regulated device would be comparable to a mech with my toppers.
I suppose I would rather have another mech... Which kind of answered my own question lol.

Completely Average hit the nail on the head. I got a hana mod in the mail over a month ago and haven't put it down since. I think its great for both sub ohm and coils above 1 ohm because I use a 1.2 build on my kayfun and aqua and a .5 flat ....... build (for you rip trippers fans) on my patriot and the DNA 30 chip makes for an excellent and consistent vape on either set up. I used strictly mechanicals before I got this, aside from a tesla vv/vw device I purchased over a year ago, and I do like using mechanical mods, I just dont like having to change batteries so frequently. As you would expect, the DNA 30 gives you the same hit every time you puff on it which is a huge plus for me, especially since I'm out and about all day and dont want to worry about always having extra batteries on me. Sounds like money is not much of a deciding factor for you considering the mods you mentioned so just go with whatever is the most practical for you

If you're happy in the .7 ohm range then a DNA20 would work just as well for you as a DNA30.

I've got nothing against regulation, I run a Kick2 in my Nemesis all of the time because I prefer the regulated vape. However, I don't see the need to overspend for something you aren't going to use.


Another option you may want to take a look at is the Segelei 20W. It's a DNA20 clone and seems to work really well. It's VV/VW and can take coils from 5 ohms down to .5 ohms. Lots of high reviews for it, and it only costs around $120-$140.

Thanks for everyone's help, really appreciate it...I might just end up looking for a DNA 20, see if I can find one at a good price.
But in the mean time, I picked up this pretty lady...

Just as a heads up, a Vaporshark probably wouldn't take till the 30th. I placed my order on 4/8 and it shipped 4/10.
