What to get? Been out of the loop for a while and need a good USB passthrough setup.

Hi guys,

I'm mostly interested in a passthrough. I do not really have a need for a battery. I originally wanted something that looked like a cigarette (I liked my DSE901, but the atomizers failed often and the wire coming out of the passthrough got damaged easily), now I want something that is powerful and reliable. I'd actually like one of the bigger PV's because I suspect that the extra size is obviously for more power and perhaps more reliable with more room to work with than in the cigarette-sized ones.

Anyway, I've been out of the game for quite some time. I looked up the vendor I used to use and this is one that caught my attention: Joye eGo USB Passthrough/650mAh Battery

I think that it's neat that it's basically a passthrough and a battery. The battery is honestly the least of my concern, so if there is a better setup out there with a passthrough, I'd like to hear about it. Price is important too, but I'm willing to spend a little more for something better if you guys think it is the best bang for the buck.

ITaste Express VV Kit - Chameleon

These are nice, it's the new version that won't need any adapters. It's a basic vv/passthrough, but witht he cool itaste square look. Mine works well, it's always plugged into my computer, ready to go. If portability isn't a concern, there are some variable voltage passthrough that have no battery. Hope this helps. I think you'll want variable voltage, it'll give you more power, regardless of size. The bigger battery mods don't always mean more power, per say. It means you can stick a big battery in it and it will last longer.

I agree, the ITaste is a great VV passthrough. I have the one with the magnet adapters and I love using a ViVi Nova 2.5 on it,it works great with it. Another VV passthrough you might consider is the KGO. It goes up to 6 volts while the ITaste goes to 5 and it's around 1/2 the price.

You'd have a choice between manual and automatic and a choice of mAh-s from 650, 900 or 1300.

Another possibility is this one in variable voltage (if that is your thing) KGO V.V. 650mAh

All of these work well, and are sturdy and reliable. I have them all.
