What type of MicroFiber cloths i use for my SB to Shine

Hey, everyone

I remembered a long time ago well not to long ago but when i was in high school and i use to wash my car alot almost every other day, i wasn't able to bring it through a car wash because it was to low to the ground anyways.

I use to get these Ultra fine Microfiber clothes for my windows and if i remember correctly that's what there used for (i think for polishing to. i cant remember) anyways i found one that was not used that i had in a box where i keeped all my cleaning things and i used it to shine up my SB today to get it looking good because ive been using the regular Microfiber cloths witch don't get me wrong are good but to my eyes i feel like the Ultra fine Microfiber clothes do a better job. next time your in a automotive story pick some up there are Farly cheap around the same price as a regular Microfiber clothes is and i think you might even find them at the dollar store ("you can find anything at the dollar store lol")I feel like they work alot better just an overall better shine. when i compare the 2 different cloths.

this is just to wipe it down to make it shine its not a full detail clean just to keep it looking good intill its time to send it to him you know just a quick fix like to take some prints or smuges off if you get any just like washing your car every week before its time to do a polish or wax job on it also more like as maintenance i love the SB so much i swear if i do anything to it iam going to flip lol iam very An*** when it comes to my SB

Standard microfiber is fine to use all the time. A jewelry cloth from wal-mart works well too.

I use one of the microfiber sunglass cases to keep it in and to wipe it down on the go. Works pretty well.

I actually use a fine micro fiber to remove the oil from my hands off the SB before I put my tennis grip on the SB. (I find it grips better without the oil from my hands trapped under it!)

I have about 6 computer screens, mulitple tv's, motorcycle helmets, and paintball googles. I use micro fibers on everything!

I have all sizes, shapes and thickness of microfibers. They all work equally as well on the SB. The thicker ones pull the oil off easier, but I prefer the finer cloth as it is smaller, and fits in a small cloth pouch.

Don't worry about scratching the SB, it's metal. To scratch a surface, one surface must be harder then the other to cause a scratch. Any dirt or debri on the SB, getting rubbed around with it in a microfiber, won't leave a scratch. Unless there's metal debri or shavings mixed in, your golden.

Walmart sells a 20 pack of microfibers for cheap, and I've found them at "dollar tree" discount stores as well.

Hmmm, no offense but I have to disagree with that. Most everything will scratch aluminum. Especially a polished surface. Aluminum is quite soft. Granted, it depends on your definition of "scratch" and what condition the surface was finished to originally. Take a very bright light (halogen is preferable but a very bright flashlight should work) and look at the reflection of it on your SB. If you see any sort of "halo" around the reflected image of the light... that's due to fine scratches in the finish. Most likely from polishing/cleaning it with a dusty or dirty cloth or carrying it in your pocket. Over time the surface will get more and more dull compared to one that isn't scratched.
