I want to upgrade to a variable voltage device but I have about 20 old cartos which I think i can clean and re-use. The old cartos all have an inny (not outy) type thread like you see on an 808 type model. I now use them with volt baterries I buy from smokeless image.

maybe this should be a different thread, but If i upgrade to something i use a clearomizer with, how often do the clearomizers need to be cleaned or replaced?

This is my first thread starting attempt, forgive me please if i didn't do it right. thanks for the help

Indy, if your cartomizers work with your Volt batteries then they are kr808D-1. You don't specify what kind of vv battery you want to get, but if it's a 510 battery (like the eGo-C Twist), you can get a simple and inexpensive adapter. You will need a 510>901/kr808 adapter (if your new battery has a 510 connection). You can get it at Good Prophets, MadVapes, Liberty Flights, WorupEcig (free shipping) and many other places.

If you're curious about clearos, you can find them at Smokeless Image (kr808 threading, compatible with your batteries) or at GotVapes (GotVapes carries Fluxomizers that are kr808 threaded and I believe they will be offering the Phoenix kr808 soon). Phoenix is a new, bottom-coil clearomizer. Here's a video worth watching about the Phoenix:

That said, clearomizers are not the most user-friendly cartomizers on the market. I suggest you get just one box and play with them a little to see if they are your cup of tea. Just make sure that the clearomizers you order are the right resistance for your Volt--2.6-2.8Ω preferably. And visit GotVapes subforum here on ECF for more information.

Good luck and happy vaping!
