    .42 ohms, by itself, is not enough info. If we assume this resistance is proportioned to work well on a mech, that gives us a second data point with a simple answer, it will work best at mech voltage, 3.7-4.1 V, whatever power that results in, although that's a little circular. If we know what wire gauge it is (for example), and you seem to imply single coil, then we can calculate how big a coil that actually is.

    Power handling is limited by several factors, mainly coil size, wicking, and airflow. I use a fairly restricted single hole and only draw hard enough to get a slight backpressure feedback from that restriction. I was using an oversize coil which could handle much more power but still too much power would get too hot and if I continued, start getting burny. Finding the power sweet spot as best possible based on airflow allowed me to then start getting the right size (smaller) coil in there. The result is fast heatup, a better vape, and a clearly defined sweet spot. .1 watt adjustments, out of ~15, are significant in adjusting to different juices and differences of technique due to mood and environment.
