Are the Vamo V5s from fasttech clones or the real deal? Also, only 100 charges on the MVP? D: How does using the pass through work on the MVP, as in what is the wear and tear on the battery itself when using the pass through?

There is no "Real Deal" in regards to the VAMO...

Fasttech uses two different manufacturers. The only difference I've found and own units from both is the $0.80 cents difference in price. The cheaper one may weigh about a half an ounce lighter. Fit, form, quality of the parts is all comparable.

Personally, I wouldn't pick any of those, wouldn't vape them. Heck, they wouldn't fire most of my builds. Way underpowered. But I'd vape on a vamo before I'd vape on an MVP, at least the Vamo will put out 15 watts. And if you are just staring, then the vamo will allow you to learn the most, that is if you get into build your own coils in the future.

The Hana dna30 clone is being released, which would be a great performer for the price. That's what I'd get, well actually ordered 2, but hey, that's me, am a Vape Gear Junkie.

Thanks! :) I really am looking into the vamo v5 a lot :) although I found a better deal than the one I posted. And its not really that I'm looking into building my own coils (but I might!) It's more the fact I want a ecig that will last, and I know mods have interchangeable batteries so that's definitely something I'm strongly leaning towards. :)

I have a Vamo 2, VTR, and two MVP2's (there are more but these are the one's mentioned here). You have some tough decisions to make. It appears you're pretty much leaning towards the Vamo 5 which is fine. Just know what problems you might run into. You can look at some reviews here or on youtube. As for the threading issue you can buy a 510/ego connection to leave on it and that'll take care of wear and tear. The firing button issue, well, I dunno what to tell ya. There may be a fix shown on youtube. I was like you in that I wanted a mod that used external batteries and a charger. Good luck on your decision.

The overwhelming choice it seems by the vast majority is the MVP 2.0 and i whole heartedly agree. You want a mod , then get an MVP , most Vamo's have died long before an MVP , do the research , the MVP is the most kick ... mod for the price found anywhere and for $39.99 it's a steal .

You will see people preferring their MVP over all their other much more expensive mods , i see comments like that all the time .

It has a 300 charge cycle lifespan and if you buy it from 101, they will have it in your hand in three days or less with standard shipping.

Don't believe it , read the 700+ 5 star reviews for the MVP below.

The MVP comes as a kit so your covered there as well.

I went with a unit with interchangeable batteries. Nothing worst than wanting a vape and have a dead battery. i did not go with the Vamo, but was given one as a loaner by my B&M while they fixed a problem I was having with my Tesla (problem was actually with the Kanger Aero Tank, not the Tesla as we later found). The Vamo was nice, believe it was a V3, but I did have a couple of issues. The unit I was using was a chrome model and was a fingerprint magnet! I constantly felt the need to wipe it down (little OCD issue). I also experienced a lot of misfires with it. Didn't have it long enough to be sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong but experienced it several times.

Good luck and enjoy whatever you decide to get...

The only thing weening me from buying the MVP is the fact it's not a Mod, I've been wanting a Mod for a long time, and something with interchangeable batteries, because when the MVP is on charge, I have no vape :(

Not true! You CAN vape while MVP2 charges. It has a pass through. You can even charge your phone with it!

When people talk about the fact you have to throw away the whole MVP when it dies, it doesn't sound like a good economic choice. However, you have to add in some other factors. If you get another mod you have buy the mod AND 2 batteries AND a good charger, none of which will last forever either. You throw them away when they die, just like the MVP. For $40, the MVP is a good buy because you don't need anything else and it will last 2 or 3 days on a single charge. No lugging around spare batteries or making sure the spare is charged.
