I was reading some articles on the e-cig, just doing a little more research, and I came across this one:
Dangers of e-Cigarettes - Info Barrel
Um. What?
So, the main issues with e-cigs are "untrustworthy nicotine delivery in cartridges," but I've been dripping and my juices are handmade here in the US, so I know exactly how much nic is in my bottles. Also, you can get nic-free juice. Another issue is PG, because apparently it can cause reproductive and fetal problems, even some sort of mutation? But my juices are 100% VG. And, in this article specifically, it can promote "drug use" because some people apparently place liquid ... on the atty...??? And, if you read the comments, one reader refers to that as "downright scary;" uhhh hahahaha...how is that scary? It's not like someone is going to get high on ... and kill someone. The worst that could happen is they MIGHT eat an entire pizza and go to sleep. Come on now. And I'm sorry, but I see people getting high at concerts (even at the Justin Bieber concert I recently took my daughter to, WTF), in clubs, at coffee shops, etc. I don't think that the e-cig is too much of a contributing problem there.
So I guess my question is...what are the REAL dangers of an e-cig? I can't really find anything that can't be easily avoided by tweaking things a little bit, and all of this sounds...well, stupid. If there are REAL dangers, then yes, I want to know. None of this "it's in antifreeze" crap, because as I mentioned before, PG is also in my shampoo...and there is pesticide-grade PG, and there is food-grade PG. I tired of being BSed with scare tactics. I just want the real deal so I can make an informed decision.
Can anyone offer some insight?
