Even doing this game for 5 years I still run out ! Is it just me or is it the worst sinking feeling in the world

I have ran out of attys once

Mainly I have ran out of e liquid

PV not working

Issues w. batteries

Maybe ita just me but I have definitely run out of equipment -' it's like a horror story yet I still repeat it

One time I was using just rcr123 3 volt rechargeableas- they got lost - radioshack wanted 15 dollars for like 1 battery and it was non rechargeable

I've spent 40 dollars on 15 ml of liquid once at a brick n M store when I ran out (when I was buying 120ml for 15) - the 40 dollar purchase was so painful

It seems like it never ends - now I do have a couple back up Pvs - but running very low on juice and I really need to buy about 3 or 4 batteries again as the 4 I had only 1 is still good

Anyways that's a couple of my experiences - anybody else have nightmares they care to share

A lot of the newer vapers are smarter than I was and buy duplicates immediately or have a brick n mortar near by or know how to fix things- but there still has to be some people who learn the hardwaY like myself..... Share your worst experience running out or forgetting gear nif you wish....

That is the worst. When I first started I was pretty broke, and using the Mistic from Wal-mart. They couldn't get cartomizers in stock. So I started re-filling. Still no cartomizers in stock. I tried cleaning, and then bought another kr808 setup. Other times I was just too broke to order stuff or had to go a long time between orders. That was never fun. Fiddling with clearos and cartomizers that were on their last leg trying to make them work lol. Ran out of e liquid a couple times, but a few local shops sell it for fairly cheap. Now I DIY and try to get my orders in line. This last round I ordered twice as many cartomizers as I normally do.

when I bought my first "set-up" at the local fleamarket it was a very overpriced blister pack ego/ce5 knock-off ($70 with 2 bottles of juice)...since I did not know if it was going to work I did not buy the "double pack" (extra $40) ten days later my ce5 died...in the middle of the week leaving me 10 days off smokes and no working vape gear....Panic ensued....found a BRAND NEW vape store that was not even fully open and paid $35 for a protank and 2 coils......ever since that day my backups have backups

I work in a foundry. I dropped a Panasonic 18650 in a ladle with 1400 degree melted aluminum in it. Small explosion, everyone looks and knows its me. I go get reamed for about 40 minutes about ruining expensive equipment as the aluminum obviously can't be used now. So I grab my Vamo and low voltage appears. Super stressed out and nothing to vape on 2 hours into my 8 hour shift.

When I first started vaping I used an ego-c tank system (shudders). I was told that the 5 attys that came with it should last me minimum of a month much more likely 2-3 months. Well it takes those little spikey attys that the eroll uses now. All 5 clogged and burnt up beyond repair in 2 weeks. No cash for another 5 pack at $30 + shipping.

It was a mad scramble to find something that worked. I ended up with some redux CE5s that seemed like vaping heaven in comparison. Heads in those silly things lasted me nearly a month each!

I was in the Navy on subs. That was a cold hard lesson on if you don't have something you need you can't have it period. It made me somewhat of a prepper, can't shake the habit. Since then I have backups for backups on everything. When I'm out I have a case with a charged PV, spare T3/coil and clearo, spare charged 18500 and 15ml of juice on top of my go-to. At home is the nightmare. I have several PVs, 8 T3's, 4 clearos, RDA, RBA, coils, spare 18650 and 18500s, 2 chargers including 12V adapters (made a cable with big alligator clips so I can use a car battery to charge if the power goes out), 200' of wire 20' of wick, bag of cotton, enough diy liquid to make at least 1200ml of juice. I need a couple mechs too, shopping for those now. The lesson here? Don't volunteer for submarines.

My starter kit was awesome and enough to convince me to keep vaping forever, but the battery died after about 3 days. Waiting for a new one was sad enough, but at that point I was wondering if that's just how it was and ecigs were all total crap and I'd have to stick with smoking and I was SAD.
I ordered a new automatic 510 from naturevapers, and they sent me 2 just to be nice. One of them died within a week. At this point, I was 100% sure vaping would not be a viable option, but I used that one battery for over a month (my neighbor uses it now, 5 months later) and finally realized I'd just had really bad luck. Then I found this forum a few months ago, and the rest is history. :)

You just may have given me the best advice I have received on this forum. I bought a cheap mod that takes 18350s. About to buy batteries and charger. When monsoon season gets here, we sometimes lose power for hours. I see that some chargers run off 12v as well as 110v. I know I can use the cig lighter outlet type usb adapters in my cars but why not buy a charger that works on 12v as well. With 2 vapers and 2 MVPs and a box full of egos, we should be ok, lol
Thanks.

Most of the lithium chargers either have a cig plug cord or you can get one extra. I have the clips so I can go right off the battery to either the lithium charger plug or the usb male 12V plug and not have to have the ignition on for hours to charge off the outlet.

Should probably start a vaper prepper thread so this one doesn't get totally hijacked.

I have a little solar panel/battery backup charger for cell phones and e-cigs as part of my hurricane kit ;)

Might not do a big 18650 battery but it will do my old ego batterys in a pinch

I started out on the same setup and finally one day I got so fed up with it I went to the new local vapor lounge and bought an evod and couldn't believe what I had been missing out on. I saved the ego-c for my backup but all the atomizers quit working so now I keep that evod filled with graham cracker in my coat pocket in case I ever need it.

I had one bad experience where my Ego charger died. Lucky I still had my old V2 E cigalike and that got me through til the new charger arrived which I had ordered 2. Now I have a set of drawers that I call my store. I have 2 of every charger ...including my Xtar charger I use for my IMR batteries. Plenty of cartomizers and replacement heads. Mainly its chargers you have to worry about, they can die with no notice.

my backup to my backup charger can charge any chemistry up to 36 volts at 30 amps and can clip directly to my car battery. :D

i now have backups to my backups and more incoming, but there once was a time i was twitching while trying to rebuild a protank that i couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stop gurgling. turns out the cinnamon ate the glue that holds the tank together and the tank was no longer air tight. when that happens, they leak like a sieve.

There was an upside to the ego-C starter kit. The 2 batterys that came with it are still going strong ;)

WHOOOOWEEEEEE !!!!! I bet that was exciting for a second. Hope you didn't get burned. I've had a pot of lead do that when it got some water in it. The tinsel fairy is a harsh mistress.

I usually have the reverse problem...I'm over-stocked. I won't leave the house without two batteries...even if I'm just going to the store.

Just before the storm here, I charged everything, even the Zombie Apocalypse box, and including the two lithium backup batteries that can charge the cell phones, e-cigs, or run 5 volt lights (which I have as I cobble together stuff for fun).

I remember when the only toppers I had were generic, nameless, plastic bottom coil clearos that I purchased because they were dirt cheap and that's what my first, dirt cheap kit came with. What a mistake. They would separate from the metal base and leak all over my purse. The mouth pieces cracked. I spent much of my day trying to stop them from gurgling. And this was after replacing the coils they came with with genuine Kanger coils. While the genuine coils didn't leak like the coils the clearos came with, they didn't improve the experience that much. I went crazy buying toppers after that, not wanting to ever run out again. I've since found cartotanks and a place to buy cartos in bulk.

I've been pretty lucky so far. I found ECF just prior to my first purchase, so I started with the :rules: back ups for your backups from day 1.

My near gear disaster...

I got ready for work. Filled tank on the VTR, packed my kit with extra juice, extra 18650, extra coil head, and the evod battery w a mini pt and charger. Stowed kit in my purse. Grabbed coat, purse, lunch bag, car keys, water bottle and headed to work. Opened the store, shoveled the snow out front, came in and put up my coat. A bit later went digging in my purse for my VTR and realized I left it on the desk after filling it.

Ok, no biggie I have back up.
Plan B
Get out the evod and hit the button only to find it was dead.

Ah ha still no biggie I have charger in my kit.
Plan C
Dig out charger put the battery on and plugged it in.
Evod doesn't flash and charger light stays green. WTH???

By this time it's only an hour til lunch and there's a B&M close by.
Plan D
Head over to B&M ask nicely if I can use a battery from the bar for a few minutes.
Explain the saga while they check out battery and declare it dead. Clerk offered me a loaner battery from the bar stash.

Owner came up from back remembered selling me the battery a week earlier, said leave the dead battery, take the charged loaner, bring it back when work day was over and she would swap it for a brand new fully charged replacement.

You don't get that kind of customer service from a website.
