Once you buy your ingredients, the resulting juice you make will be at least a tenth of the cost. Go easy and practice with simple single or a couple of flavors until you get the hang of it. Here's exactly how I started:

Opinions? Sounds like you heard some terrible ones. There is no question about it. DIY is an order of magnitude less expensive than buying pre-mixed.

    1L 100mg/mL = CA$130

See my article on Wonder Flavours.

100mL of DIY juice costs less than $3, and that's Canadian.

But watch out because the tax collectors got wise. Stock up now. Buy several liters, glass bottles, and a standalone freezer to store them. That same 1L bottle could cost $5000 next year.

Also, any advice for DIY beginners would help me out a lot.
Myself and I suspect most new DIY mixers buy flavors that remind us of a particular taste. Beware, those flavors are rarely standalone flavors and generally shine in particular mixes. Suggest buying 2-3 or so premixed one shot flavors just to get your feet wet and get to know the taste mix groups(mine, Tobac and Bakery) your interested in. Once you know where you want to go, then start collecting DIY recipes and only then buy enough flavors for those recipes only. Might like to check out one shots:

Whatever you plan to buy, suggest you Google a review of that mix or flavor first.
Oh yes, suggest reading everything you can on DIY, it helps.

Success depends largely on the recipes you use that you can find on this forum or online DIY recipe websites.

When I began DIY, only about 30% of my juices were reasonably good. I believe 100% of that questionable success rate was due to choosing the recipes that I chose. Trial and error and inexperience.

You'll need to decide whether to mix your components by weight (you'll need a scale) or volume. Being from the medical field, I chose mixing by volume (ml or cc).

I bought my nicotine from Wizzard Labs. Pg, Vg, flavorings, and mixing equipment (syringes, beakers, bottles) from Bull City Flavors (Bull City doesn't sell nicotine.)

Is it cheaper to DIY or buy ejuice? I've heard different opinions. I've only ever bought ejuice but I'm looking to start making my own. Also, any advice for DIY beginners would help me out a lot.:banana:Thanks
    Hi and welcome,
Your savings depends on your location.
In the EU/UK, DIY is seriously hobbled by the restrictions of the TPD2.
Max bottle size is 10ml and max mg/ml is 20mg/ml for products that contain nicotine. An average good price for 1000ml of 20mg/ml base (in 100 X 10ml bottles) is approx 100 £/€.

    Where are you located?

    Cheers
    I

For about $200 USD, I can get a litter of Nicotine, 3 gallons VG, 1 gallon PG and about 6 each 4 Oz bottles of flavors.

That equals about 500 each (minus mistakes and flavor differences, from 561) 30 ml bottles, which can cost $10 USD or more if you buy at a store online or offline (low price), for a low end total of $5000 USD.

Bottles, syringes and other needed items aren't even worth the calculation costs to add in...
