whats next? I need some advice please

I started with look-a-likes not enough..well anything...lol,on to the ego with tank/carto good but missing something......then the vision twist,loved it but now my taste buds are starting to wake up.I got my vivi nova yesterday and love it the flavor and vapor is just so much better but the twist and the nova just don't fit right the nova is way bigger around than my twist so I need a battery that is closer to the diameter of the nova.
I want to make a mod but not sure where to start on that,I do know I like the vv of the twist cause some juice's (I make my own most times) just taste better at different volts.
also what does the different ohms of the vivi heads do? I'm using the one that was in when I got it 2.4 I think.

The ohms provide resistance to the battery - the lower the ohms, the more power your atty sees. I'm not an electrical engineer but that's the basic jist - you can find lots more info on it by searching, too. I find 2.4 to be too high for a 3.7v ego-style battery. I have a mini vivi nova (fits great on my twist, btw) and use the 1.8 ohm head. For dripping I use a 1.2 ohm head which makes huge clouds of vapor - but kills the battery a lot quicker. So - in general - the lower the ohms, the more power, more vapor and lower battery life. Using too low ohms for your battery will result in a damaged atomizer and/or battery. But for the EGO twist - I think 1.8 is a great all-around ohms to use. . .and I've had no problems going as low as 1.2.

You probably shouldn't be messing with variable voltage without a basic understanding of Ohm's Law. At the very least, there is a thread with a spreadsheet here explaining the concept.

The different ohms on the head are just that: the ohm's that each head is rated for, within a margin of error. The higher the voltage and the lower the ohms gives a hotter vape.

If you want to make a mod, there are tutorials all over the web for it. However, if you want something with variable voltage/wattage, you'd probably be better off buying one. I don't own any, but the Provari is considered the best by most of the experienced members on this board. there's a host of others like the Zmax, the Bolt, the Telescope, the Gripper, ect. Again, I don't own any of these, but these are the models that discussed here quite frequently.

use this chart to determine your ohms-to-voltage ratio. its all about watts. you typically want between 6-10 watts.

for a mod thats the right diameter for the nova, there are many. lava tubes are popular for enrty-level pricing. the Vamo is an even better choice, and can be had for $40 from vapor bank.

or you could get a mini nova, which is the same diameter as the twist.

ya the novas look massive on any ego style batt... i recommend making the jump into a nice mod.
few questions you need to ask first.
1. BUDGET... this is the most important question. if price isnt an issue i guarantee most folks here will recommend a provari (i am a fan but not an owner). if you are looking for around $100 i would go for a ZMAX or a Vamo. both have similar circuitry and can do most of the same stuff. cheaper, i believe you can get a lavatube for a bit less than a sale on Vamo.
2. how rough are you on your devices? personally i am tough on my stuff so i HAVE to go with stainless steel and more rugged devices.
3. the look. just shop around and find a device that YOU want to show off! if you dont like your mod you wont use it... get one that you would be proud to own!

I guess I needed to word that a little different I know the ohm's is the resistance my question was more what effect it had on the vape.

thanks for the big vote of confidence but I can make anything I want I dont think anyone is better off buying what they want unless they dont want the satisfaction of making their own.

I recently bought a varitube over at vapingzone. It's the exact same length as a 1000 Twist, a little bigger around. I can tell you that the vape is stronger even on a lower setting. I would never have believed it. I dunno, maybe because it uses pulse width modulation. When I'm out of batteries for it and have to move back to the Twist, the twist really seems weak in power by comparison.

The Vamo is somewhat similar but is longer than the 1000 Twist, I gather. I don't know about the diameter.

Your gonna do just fine. It takes some time to find 'YOUR OWN ' sweet spot. I've got everything form a 400mah mini to a Provari, plus two vamos and a kicked SB. It's all up to the person on the receiving end of the vape. Hang in there Your doing OK. It takes time to play with everything and once you find it you won't forget it.

Hi! All of the eGo batteries have the same diameter. There is no difference between an eGo-C and an eGo-T battery, the "C" and "T" refer to the delivery system that comes with the kit ("Changeable" or "Tank," both of which are pretty much outdated.)

Back to the OP about how the nova looks on an eGo, even the mini is a little wider than an eGo, but as another poster pointed out, a "sleeve" or "skirt" give it a much more stream-lined look. For a mini, you'll wanted the "D" size.
