I am currently using a 1000Mah pass through joyetech egot-t battery with a gotvapes sapphire. Its a decent vape but I feel like it should be better. I finally have some money to spend (thank you taxes) and want to step it up a bit. I want something that is going to be a nice reliable vape for me all day everyday. There are so many choices I am feeling overwhelmed. What is the next logical steps for me? I don't want something that is going to leak, have a really hot vape, or have a really hard pull. I don't owe anyone money so I sucking nothing that hard! I would appreciate some serious recommendations here. Thanks!

I have that battery and I really enjoy Boge 510 LR 2.0 ohm cartomizers. They're like eight bucks for a pack of five, and I think you'll get very good results from them. I think it's worth trying them out.

Then, if you find that you like cartos, you can pick up a carto tank to get the same performance with increased e-liquid capacity for ten to twenty dollars.

I have used Boge 2obm cartos with my stormys notta tank. They wrong well but always end up feeling plugged or my tank leaks. I even made my own tank off that design which held up longer but leaked at the most inopportune time! Embarrassing! !!! As far as the sapphires I love them because they never leak! But I don't feel I am getting the size if hit I want. It seems that since I quit analogs I take much larger hits. Bigger than I thought possible! I'm not 100% sure I always like the taste of the boge cartos due to the filling. I'm also not sure what making s them all of a sudden feel plugged. There has to b something....

I would recommend going with a vv mod. There are a wide range of prices and features depending on what you want but a basic vv with easy adjustment is all that's needed. That way you can bring out the best of what you are using with it, might even be able to find out how good your sapphires can really be and be satisfied with the ability to bump up or down the voltage to your preference.

After I got over eGo's I started looking into mods. When I started vaping, they looked ridiculous and clunky to me and I never thought I'd try one, but now I just feel stupid for ever having that thought cross my mind.

If you want a variable voltage mod, you could try the Knight Rider/Lavatube. These things go from 3.0 to 6.0 volts in 0.1 increments. For some, higher voltages = stronger taste and better vapor production. The only problem in my opinion with these is that you'll need to start buying higher resistance cartomizers. 3.0 ohms is usually good. Anything under that and your juice is going to taste like burnt toast. But once you find a good spot, that 6 volt vapor is delicious. Also, you can't use dual coil cartos at high voltages with the Lavatube. Safety feature.

If you want something less complicated, definitely buy a Silver Bullet. These things are durable and I would highly recommend them as a first mod for anybody. They aren't variable voltage but thats not a problem. In my opinion, they're perfect with low resistance dual coil cartomizers.

You could also try getting into tanks with your new mod. I have yet to hear from a carto user that doesn't love tanks. I have yet to use any myself, but I think I'll be purchasing some soon.

Thank you all for the excellent information. It certainly gives me a place to start looking. I originally went from a fifty-one trio to an ego. I have a boge carto tank that started leaking on me and that sucked! I had three mils of juice run down my shirt pocket. Oh what fun! So I think I will for variable voltage and a nice quality tank or stick with the sapphires for a bit. Once I go for the variable voltage I guess I will have a lot of options to try!!!

I won't go quite as in depth as my predecessors on this thread but you were asking for an all day vape, doesn't leak, not too hot, and not too hard of a draw. I gotta say sometimes less is more. My current daily vape is a pretty simple setup....
KGO battery (1100 mah) and smoktech ego mega dual coil cartos. For me, this setup easily gets me through a full day at work plus some time afterwards with ZERO fiddling. The cartos hold as much as a 3.5 mil tank and the batteries are incredible as far as vapetime per charge.
And plus... its a pretty cheap setup...
The KGO starter kit is 45ish bucks and batteries by themselves are 16 or 17 bucks. The cartos are 2.50 or 2.60 a piece. You can get both from hoosierecigsupply.
I save the heavy mods for for home and weekend use.
Theres my :2c: :)
