I have been very happy with my 510 and I have enough spare batts, attys, and carts to last a while. The only issue is the battery life (then again I have a few so it isn't that big of a deal). Everything else about this little lung saver I love. I was wondering where do I go from here? I have seen sooo many different models of e-cigs, and don't know which one to try next. I really don't care what it looks like as long as it is functional. Would be nice to be out on the town and not have to switch batteries (PCC helps though). I also really like the manual battery.
What model would you guys/gals suggest?

For out and about I would suggest a KR808D type of device. Check out nHaler or V4L. The Green Cig also uses cartomizers.

Point being.. when you can take a battery, and a cartomizer - and vape for hours - it is really really nice. I am now in the habbit of taking a spare battery and an extra cartomizer just to switch off flavors sometimes. Otherwise, unless I can just sit and vape non-stop like at home or something - usually just the one battery and cartomizer will last me all night long.

Take care,
- Hap

When we go out, I take an 801 (put together and stuck in the outside pocket of my handbag for easy grabbing) and a 901 in a case.

If we are sitting around for a while, I *might* pull out the 901, but the 801 battery will generally last the whole time. The 901 battery lasts longer than a 510, but not as long as the 801. The 401 has a decent life, too, but I think all they have are manual batteries now, and I haven't tried those.

I was thinking about tacking on a e9/LT or KR808D-1 to a juice order at some point just for when I'm not at home/work. Unfortunately I'd need a manual battery and everything I've seen is auto. :/

As for other models, the 510 really spoils you for non-mod PVs. You could always try a 801 or 901 for a bit more flavor.

Prodigy, Silver Bullet, Screwdriver, GG or Super-T1.

You already have one of the best e-cigs, and by you saying that you don't care what it looks like... go for a non-cig looking device. Higher voltage means way more vapor, much more flavor, and how nice it is to vape for 4-8 hours (really, really heavy) with no need to recharge. 8-12 hours of regular, steady vaping.

I knew my 510 was flavorful, but when I first hit my Prodigy, my same liquids provided me with richer, deeper flavors. I have not touched my 510 since it arrived.

Okay people, especially you, Bandit, since you seem to have such a variety of devices, I'm at about the same spot here. I'm way stocked up on 510 attys and such. I'm just waiting for another 6 months or so to finally be at break even, but I want just 1 more thing, and I can't decide. I probably want high volts with maybe the option of lower also. I'd prefer something not huge. Long battery life and readily accessible (to buy online or locally even) batteries are important. Price matters but isn't #1 if it's quality. I really can't decide between the Prodigy, SB, Chuck or maybe something else. (or possibly even the Janty Stick, Prodige (spelling?), etc. Help! I guess my biggie right this second is between the Prodigy and the SB. Which is better?

First off, let me preface this by saying I am no 'expert' in higher voltage PVs, having just started using them in the last week and a half. Until then I was using my 510s mostly, M401 Dragon as my go-to after that, and the others in my sig off and on for the last 2 months.

My first experience was the Jantystick at 3.7v. I hated it only due to the terrible inconsistency in that unit (not a reflection on all 3.7v PVs), and the 801 mouthpiece.

I could not decide between the vast number of hot-rods available, so I pinged Zofryer since he owns almost all of them. He said that at the time, his Prodigy was his main vape. Many say the same thing. The reason is the 5v performance. It is the only 5v hot-rod out there (although there are some handbuilt mods made of flashlights some users have made) and the draw to it is the flavor. As I understand it, 6v for some people 'burns the flavor' a bit for their liking.

Once my Prodigy arrived, I have not really touched my e-cigs, not even my 510. The flavor is worlds better with the same juices I normally vape, the battery life is beyond compare, and the vapor production is terrific.

I bought my VAPRE51 to be a more portable device to replace the Jantystick. It will not produce as much vapor and not nearly as much flavor as the Prodigy, but it should pacify me in the instances that I cannot carry my Prodigy.

I bought the SB v1.1 because it is GORGEOUS, and vapes at 6v. I can also take it down to 3.7 if I choose to. I have yet to hear any bad reports on the SB.

I was unaware of the Chuck and Little Chuck when I bought my others. I surely would have bought one... they rock and can be made to order in custom designs. Not as "slick" as the others listed above, but they work well.

If what you want is as small as possible, I say go for a VAPRE51 or VP1. Good 3.7v performance, looks cool and performs on the level of the Jantystick without the inconsistency. If you want to go one size up and get even better batt life, do the VP2.

One step up in size with a good reputation is the Screwdriver. Still 3.7v.

If you want to go for 6v performance (more vapor, more flavor, but might be too harsh of a throat hit for some) the options I listed above are all killer, but going back to size... the Super T1 is the winner. Amazing craftsmanship, ingenious design and execution, and very, very slim and compact.

I will be buying a Super T very soon, probably on his next batch.

So IMO (again, this is my opinion, and not based on trying everything out there)...

3.7:
Little Chuck for lower budget
Silver Bullet or VAPRE51 for cool factor
Each should perform equally

5v:
Prodigy. It stands alone here, but keep in mind the Prodigy will give the best possible flavor

6v:
LOTSA great choices.
Super T is my top pick
SB v1.1 next best
Any others sure to satisfy

I cannot comment on the Protege since none have been produced yet. Basing on the performance of the Prodigy, I can imagine it will be superb.

There are others more qualified to help you make your decision though. Perhaps in a couple months I will be too :)

I have a 510 and after buying the Puresmoker Passthrough I finally decided on purchasing a Prodigy. I love it! The vapor and flavor it puts out is great! When I started looking into which mod I wanted I was going crazy trying to make up my mind. Once I got that passthrough my mind was made up. I still use my 510 when I'm at work and when a smaller less obvious pv is needed.

I love my 510. I don't love the battery life. So I got a Chuck, and I'm loving it. Two days or more on a single charge of the 18650 battery? Awesome. Pop out the battery and swap it out with two RCR123A batteries to make it 6v? Friggin' vaping heaven.

So yeah, if you like your 510 but hate swapping out the batteries all the time, go for a 510 battery mod. I'd recommend one that can let you use different voltages, they kick ....! A 510 at 6v is a vapor fiend. Easily double the vapor and throat hit.

Just my $.02.

As far as battery life goes I would suggest a Chuck. 2 days of battery life with heavy vapers and 3 to 4 days for the average vaper, that's damn sexy in any language.

It has your option of graphic styles, color options, and customizable graphics. It comes with a 1 year warranty, recessed atomizer connection, reservoir "catch", made to order, and durable parts/materials. Did I mention 2 days or more on a single battery charge? It also has the standard 3.7 volt option and 6 volt option (depending on batteries). Quite a few battery mod veterans have also reported that it performs like a high voltage mod even at 3.7v.

Oh, and the price is nice. Weighing in at a generous 80 USD it's far below similar mods in terms of price.

I've already bought two with another order for 2 more soon (the wife and I agree we need our "formal-wear" Chucks and our "casual-wear" Chucks :)) and since I can get two for what would normal be the single unit price on other mods I'm getting more bang for the buck.

Xeno, I can tell you that the Screwdriver and Prodigy definitely aren't the same thing. I hope you're listening to them carefully when they say that you might be better off going with higher voltage. I have a feeling that we really can't get much better than our 510s, as far as the smaller devices go. I do know how much I like a 5V USB passthrough, though.

Thanks for all the opinions. Bandit, thanks for the lengthy analysis. I'm glad you pointed out the unique voltage factor of the Prodigy. I think I'm leaning that way, but you're right. The Silver Bullet IS gorgeous. One thing I've noticed about prices with some of these is that, even though the Prodigy seems at first glance to be way higher, it (if I'm not mistaken) includes batteries and charger, whereas the others don't.

Oh, I just want that 1 more thing...

Ok I've decided to get a screwdriver battery and using an adaptor use my 510 atty on it. Does anyone know where I can buy JUST the screwdriver battery and charger?

AFAIK, no-one sells just the Screwdriver battery box - the kit includes batteries and atomisers. Also remember that if you use an adapter on an SD, you are voiding the warranty (or at least that's trogs attitude, which is what counts). You could chat trog up and see where it gets you -
