Hi,

Sorry for the noob question, but Im curious of what PG and VG is. Yes it's for the juice, what does each stand for and it's purpose?

thanks!

Stands for propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. Its the main base for eliquids in which the nicotine and flavoring is mixed. Juices bases are pg, vg, or a mixture of the two. It's purpose is mainly for like I said a base, and they make vapor when heated. They are both commonly used in many different applications for various reasons. Generally in eliquid pg provides more throat hit and is a great flavor carrier while vg produces less throat hit, much more vapor, and a slightly different taste. Both are slightly sweet but vg is sweeter. Vg also has a thicker consistancy so higher pg percentage is sometimes prefered for it's ability to wick easier in cartos.

jerms is 100% right, ultimately i like a 50/50 mix but i tend to use a 75%pg / 25%vg mix so it wicks better in my tanks.
to much vg and i get dry hits with most my mods unless im constantly tinkering with them.

50/50 is what I typically enjoy the best too, best of both worlds. I do enjoy the occasional 100% vg if they get throat hit added to it (see Bobas Bounty) for the PLUMES of vapor. Vg seems to provide a deeper lung feel (lung hit?) too that is satisfying in a way that's different than throat hit.
