Hey everyone,

I am thinking about entering the world of rebuilding my own coils and wicks. I have done some YouTubing and Googling and it looks like a fun little project to keep me from getting antsy and going to a store and buying way to much stuff. I also want to try using cotton to see what that taste difference is like.

Anyway, my tanks include iClear 16, iClear 30, iSmoka Mini, Vivi Nova Mini, ProTank, CE6 and T3M.

From what I have seen, I should be able to rebuild most of these all I need is:
Silica Wick or Cotton
Kenthal Wire
Needle Nose
2mm drill bit
Nail Cutters/Scissors

Is that correct?

The only other thing is that I have not been able to find anywhere on how to rebuild an iClear. I saw a few posts of people trying to, but they never posted results of success. Has anyone been successful at it?

Thanks

If you mean successful at getting the iclear rebuilt and working,no,not yet at least.I have finally got my iclears rebuilt with dual coil, only problem is,they are coming out at .2-.6 ohm dual coil.I am not going to fire these as they are too low.I have,i think, figured out how to get them rebuilt just need to get the ohms up on them.

As to your other question about rebuilding what you have.yes, just about everyone you have can be rebuilt.I am not sure of the CE6 though? You do not need a 2mm drill bit though, just a paper clip, and you will need to straighten it out.

Not to rain on your parade here, but i would suggest getting an actual rebuildable....

I've done what you're trying to accomplish, but once i bought actual rebuildable tanks ands attys i havent turned back.
The RSST and IGO-L would do the job well without breaking the bank.

best of luck!

Yeah...what he said :)

It is definitely easier to rebuild devices that are designed to be rebuildable. After fiddling around with trying to get the silicone grommet back into a T3 head for 45 minutes I just gave up. Rebuilding a protank and evod head are a little bit easier...but nothing compared to an igo-l or genesis atty.

Btw...I live in ahwatukee and have all the supplies you need if you want to try your hand at rebuilding something. Let me know

Thanks

I rebuild my Vivi Nova heads and the result is great. I use two layers of 2mm silica wick 4 wraps of 32 gauge wire.
There is video of PBusardo on youtube he show how to reuild the head. A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding - YouTube
