Someone emailed me and asked what that grey stuff was on his Super6 atomizer and body threads? That is Noalox my fellow S6 owners. I've started putting it on both the adatper to body threads and the adapter threads that accept your atomizer prior to shipping them out.

Make sure you regularly put Noalox on your threads, esp. the adapter atomizer threads, as they are more susceptable to wear and cross threading due to their very fine nature. Just a small dab every few days will do, you don't need to gob it on.

Noalox can be found at Lowes for 2.98-
Shop noalox at Lowes.com

You'll never get that stuff calling it Noalox. Or by calling it a grease, which I did. I went to Lowe's and they looked everywhere for it. Then I went to Home Depot and they went thru the same routine. No luck.

The brand name is Ideal and it's a Noalox anti-oxident. I think the men at those stores were misguided by both the name Noalox and the word 'grease' (which was my word, not David's). But I just called Lowe's and when I asked for the Ideal noalox anti-oxident, they found 9 in stock, and are holding one for me.

David; I believe you've previously recommended silver conductive grease. Are you saying this is preferable?

This is for the adapter to body threads and the adapter atomizer threads. I still recommend silver conductive grease for the switch. Hope that helps:)

You get yours yet Kona? I think i sent yours a couple days ago...

Yes, thank you David. It came late yesterday. Beautiful. Ordered mine without mirror polishing as I'm not that neat a guy and was concerned about fingerprints. The graining is finer than I've ever been able to get from the metal shop I use without getting hot spots. Do you use a timesaver or something else? Makes it look like silk. Very nice.

Is anyone using Eastmall's high voltage 801 atomizers? The unit's 801 adapter works fine with my BE112 atomizers but I am not getting an electrical connection with the HV 801s. What's strange is that both varieties screw onto the S6 in only one turn while they take approximately two turns to lock onto my VP2.

The BE112 is a strange beast, it's thread depth isn't the same as the regular 801's. Is that all you use is the BE112? I can actually modify that adapter for BE112 use only that allows for deeper thread engagement if you wish.

I'll order up some of those HV 801's to check out whats funky about them and test them for fitment.

Regular DSE801's fit like a champ on it.

I appreciate the info Kona.

Cant find Noalox in Aust, you do come up with some hard to find stuff Dave. :D

Closest thing I can find is UTILUX H2397
ELECTRICAL JOINTING COMPOUND
Recommended whenever aluminium is part of a connection
• H2397 with zinc particles suspended in a no melt grease penetrates
the oxide film on aluminium surfaces and provides low initial contact resistance
• The compound in the joint seals out air and moisture
preventing oxidation or corrosion and ensures high conductivity
CAT NO. NO. APPLICATION PART COLOUR TUBE SIZE
H2397 4C Conductive compound with zinc particles Zn KD Grey 325g

Can get that from Middy's here....hope that will do the trick.

Thank you for your concern David. I didn't know BE112s had a different threading standard.

My HV 801's may have a defective threading. They were from EastMall's pilot batch. I've PM'ed Di, their English speaking rep, and am waiting for a reply. So as not to bore everyone else, I'll e-mail you when I know more.

If you are having trouble finding that specific brand try looking/asking for "anti-seize lubricant". Permatex and Zep are two brands I have used in street light and traffic control construction for years. I would suggest an electrical supply house, automotive or other more contractor friendly hardware shop. My use was more for stainless hardware but the principal is the same - they all prevent galling and have the same antioxidant properties. Note: A dab will do ya - a little goes a long way - this s**t can get all over everything - use it sparingly! Amazon.com: Permatex 80078 Anti-Seize Lubricant 133K, 8 oz Brush-Top Bottle: Automotive. A bottle of this should last a lifetime

Excellent plan to ship with Noalox already on your threading, David. :)

Just to help anyone out who is looking for Noalox outside the US, I am importing it specially for those who require it. Simply contact me to be notified when my next batch comes in.

I was going to mention i thought you may be carrying some, so that is good to know they can get it! Thanks Lisa!
