Since your question seems to be primarily concerning cartomizer resistance, I'll answer that the best that I can. The ohm rating or resistance determines how hot the atomizer will heat your e-juice. Lower resistance means more energy applied to the atomizer, so more heat. More heat will often mean a hotter vapor, possibly more vapor production and throat hit.

Some people, myself included, prefer a "cooler" vape. Hotter vapor I find to be harsh on my throat and quite unpleasant. It can also make my juices taste burnt. Therefore, I prefer standard resistance atty's in my cartos. I use 2.0 ohm single coil cartos with my fixed voltage, mechanical mods. I use 3.0 ohm single coil cartos with my variable voltage Provari.

I've never understood how to explain dual cartos, other than there are two heating elements instead of one. Again, these allegedly provide more vapor and a warmer vape. I switched from dual coils to single coils because in my experience they provide a smoother vaping experience and are not as demand heavy as dual coils on my batteries.

The difference in cartomizer brands seems to vary in the type of poly fill material. Boges are known to have more tightly packed polyfill, which frustrates me when filling them as the process is slow. Smoktek cartos are notorious for a looser packed filling, making them faster/easier to fill, but perhaps easier to flood also. There may be differences in the heating elements or the wiring, or the material that the heating coils themselves are wrapped in, but I have not torn each brand's cartos apart to study them.

I've found a happy medium in the Ikenvape Platinum cartos. I believe they are a 2.5 ohm single coil. The problem with them is their vendor's supply is often out of stock, so my backups are the Smokteks. I've only purchased Boges once, last summer when Bogegate was in its infancy and did not care for them so never bought more. They seem to be one of the more popular brands though.

Maybe 3.2 ohm's is too high of a resistance for me? I am FRUSTRATED with the flooding and leaking after only 2 tanks.... HELP!!

i cant see the ohms being a factor is flooding at all. if you have the carto in a tank and its flooding, one of 2 things (or both) could be happening. your juice is either too thin for the holes in the carto or the holes are too big (or one too many).

im assuming you are using a carto tank because you mentioned tank. you will not have less leaking with lower ohms.

I agree with Melloyello. Perhaps a single hole would work better if you are currently using a two hole carto.

Flooding can be caused by other factors besides too large of a hole, or too many. If you are punching your own, too deep of a punch can damage the inner tube of the airhole. If you are pre-filling the carto from the top, allowing juice to enter into the center airhole can cause flooding - a wooden tooth pick in the airhole will block it from juice entering.

Filling the tank with the top endcap removed is not advised; when the top cap is put on, the combined air and juice pressure within the tank will force too much juice into the carto and cause flooding.

Inhaling incorrectly can cause flooding. Carto's work best if a slow, steady, longer puff is used. A short, hard puff will pull more juice into the carto than is required, and can cause flooding.

I hope this helps. :)

a standard or low resistant? why do you like the type that you do?

Standard is usually for higher voltages, but your juice might like it better. Low resistant is most common for the smaller batteries-Ego- 3.4-3.7 volts. Altho many like them even on high volts.

I use Boge LR's on a 3.7 ego and have been since I started, and they've given me a consistent enough vape that I've not tried much else.

Cartos are going to be something that you buy alot of, so just try a whole bunch.

I agree with this. When I first began vaping and got my first mod several months ago, it seemed most people were using dual cartomizers and a low resistance. I didn't know any better at the time, but to me these tasted harsh and sometimes my flavors tasted burnt to me. I tried some other resistances and some single coil cartos, and found out through this that I preferred a "cooler" vape.

So now all I use are single coil, standard resistance cartos. I would try a couple of resistances in both single and dual coil with your favorite flavor, and determine which one YOU prefer.
