I find myself constantly having to switch out my cartomizers. I get a sudden burnt taste after 2-4 days, sometimes even in less than a day, and with some cartomizers lasting up to a week (rare). I was under the assumption that they were supposed to last roughly two weeks or so.
I use a Provari v2.5 with standard resistance XL cartomizers (I think 2.9 Ohms) and a tank from IBTanked. Juices I vape are fruity mentholy flavors at 50pg/50vg with 6mg or 12mg of nicotine from ECBlendz. I generally vape at voltages ranging from 4.5 to 5.5, and I vape roughly 3-6 ml of juice a day.
When I first switch my cartomizers, I start them off at around 3.5 watts and gradually work my way up as I was told that doing so gradually breaks in a new cartomizer. I believe I fill the new cartomizers correctly as well (drip juice around the rim without getting it in the middle tube, blow to push the juice down, and repeat until juice starts leaking out of the punched hole). I've also bought cartomizers from multiple stores, although I always get the standard resistance XL ones.
What am I doing wrong? I thought perhaps I might be vaping at too high of a voltage, but I have a friend who vapes with his Provari at 5.5 watts with no problems. Should I be using a different type of cartomizer? How do the different Ohms affect the vapor? Does my Provari itself have an issue? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
