I think this post sums up the answer to the OP

I have a Griffin 25, considered to be one of the top 3 flavor chasing RTAs by vaping 360. I STAND BY WHAT I SAID, THAT A $10 WOTOFO rda GIVES ME MORE FLAVOR THAN MY rta.

But honestly. How do you really feel about RDAs? I think you are still holding back.
The Griffin is a good Atty but not one of the top flavor chaser.

Try a Goblin Mini or Silverplay Nano.

Those offer better flavor than the Magma, Veritas, N 22 Freakshow, Mad Hatter.

They offer the same flavor as the Stumpy, Freakshow Mini, Derringer, abd the ONLY RDAs that beat the Goblin Mini or Silverplay Nano for flavor is the Darang and and Deadmodz V2.

The Darang has a reduced diameter for tge built in airflow from the top.

Tge Deadmodz has a shorter distance to the tip, and a some to condense the vapor.

In my house the only times 'drippers' (RDA's) are used is with a hollow center pin (Squonk).

The closest thing to a dripper that you need not drip is a modern day 'genney style' RDTA (Limitless RDTA+) which has the tank on the bottom and coils on top. The wick hangs in a ginormous "juice well" (IE:tank). The only drawback however is that I'd never put one of these in my pocket. (leaking)

While 'flavor' is often cited as one of the big differences I think the distance from the coils to your lips/mouth is equally or more important. Most tanks have the coils on the bottom giving the user some distance between the coil(s) and the top of the drip tip however most RDA's place the coils barely under the drip tip placing them very close to the users mouth/lips.
I have been saying a long time Height is a flavor killer.

I have a goblin mini v1, leaked like a sieve, till i unraveled the wicking technique.
Bought a nano silverplay,,same thing.
Bought a Darang dripper clone $10, blew both the above up.
Best dripper for me? Lancia & Nixon v2.
Best RTA for me? Dotmod Petrie. What else?.
Both Goblin Mini and Silverplay Nano have the airflow come up under the The coils.

Getting the wicking down can be hit or miss in the beginning.

The way I wick them is tight cotton but loose enough to slide, and run the tails to the bottom of the Juice Wells.

with my setup... as a squonker...

the build is equal to the air vents at the sides so I'm constantly getting air over the coils when I draw in
squonkers wet the coils and draw the excess back into the bottles(unless you massively squeeze), so there is no leaking
since the juice and coils are separated you're not boiling the juice as you vape as well

but there are squonkers with bottom vents as well, it can vary as much as tanks,m I spent about a month searching till I found what suited all my needs.

I was thinking of gettig a derringer from slowtech?

That's the version I have.. and have had no problem with it. The version I have came with all the different styles of caps, and phillips head screws. I've had no problems with it I've tried a few drippers, but I'm not a dripping fan, so I can't compare it to the more modern drippers, but it definately delivers on flavor.

In my oprinion.. Derringer and goblin are about equal as far as flavor. Griffin comes in second, but technically,it's equal as well, just different. The griffin has a warmer profile alltogether. I'm a mid range vaper, not severe subohm, so for me, even thought he Griffin is more like a dripper RTA, I think the goblin is more to my liking for flavor.. just Griffin is so much easier to wick, has juice control, and a topfil setup that doesn't leak. Because of those, it's my ADV. Derringer is my dripper of choice. Fasttech is my preferred place to get it. Just don't order any thing that has a battery when you order it.

While I can agree with you it also can be a lip/tounge/mouth protector. Personally I don't like having my innards THAT close to a hot coil. ;)
Look at the short Kayfun in my Avatar. Tge coil is only 1/2-3/4 inch FROM my lips but i only vape at 8-10 watts

To me it's just feels weird having the coils that close to your mouth.

I use the broad tip on the Cube and no spit back issues unless I over drip. The 454 Big Block has an odd drip tip that doesn't allow for spit back at all. Now on my Uwell Crown, which has a longer drip tip I got from a B&M, can spit juice so hot that it will take skin off and leave blisters on the inside of your lip.

do they have better taste than RTA's?, at the moment i have just my Squape Rs, i have sold my Kayfun Mini V3 as i just find it too airy, and the Squape is just all round perfect for me, love it, but anyway, was looking at the Snapdragon by Eden Mods, was wondering is there any real difference in drippers?

You gotta trys it ans seez.

Im 99% a mech dripper.
"What's the crack"? "Seez"? I need a translator lol:lol:

I'm sure air flow is the reason most attys don't use that style drip tip but I love it. Wish more attys used it.

if it wasn't so painful for me to rebuild it, and I knew someone I trusted with a dremmel, they would be my favourite squonker... I find I get great airflow from them and especially flavour.

okay that's one thing I don't like about my transformer rda.. no 510 adapter so I could use those tips.
