I've been searching the forums and reading up on atty's but I still can't really figure this out. I'm actually so confused I'm not even sure how to phrase my question, lol. But here goes anyway.

The difference between 510's, 801's, 901's? (as far as vapor production, throat hit, flavor, etc.??)

And are there other's out there I should know about? What about the M series (is that what it's called?)

I currently have a Joye 510, and I have a Joye eGo on order. I know that they use the same atty's, and adapters and whatnot, but I'm wondering how I can make my ego the most effective for me. I like to get lots of vapor, a decent throat hit (I don't like to choke, but I do like to feel it) and more flavor. I'm especially curious about the difference in flavor, as I don't feel like I get the most out of my liquid with the 510 (it may actually just be my liquids themselves, as I'm still in search of favorites).

Battery life is also important to me, which is why I chose to upgrade to the eGo, but I'm also planning on purchasing an H16 battery kit on my next check. And I will eventually decided on a first hybrid/mod (they refer to the same thing, right?), but I think I should work my way up to that. I'd like to be a little more knowledgeable about the basic hardware first, so yeah, atty's. I figure learning about atty's is the next step.

Thank you in advanced for the help! It's greatly appreciated! I'm completly in love with and obsessed with pv's and it's definitely officially my new (and really only) hobby, so any and all guidance is very very appreciated. Thanks!

Have a look at the Wonderful World of Vaping, specifically part 4 and part 5. Don does an excellent job describing various atomizers and their differences.

You hit the nail on the head when you said "how I can make my ego the most effective for me". There are no simple answers to this. It is a matter of personal preference, so you'll need to experiment some. If you feel like you need a more zing, get a lower resistance atomizer... or a higher voltage battery. If you want it to be smoother, use a higher resistance atomizer. Personally, I use different types of atties for different juices ... the fruity and sweet juices vape better for me with a standard 510, while tobaccos, coffees, and chocolates work best for me with LR's. This is on an eGo battery.

You can read until your eyes go buggy, but the best way to learn is to try it yourself. People's opinions are just that.

The chart in this post (thanks again, Don) is very handy for helping you find your "sweet spot", which again will probably vary depending on your juice of the moment. The chart also illustrates one of the main differences between the various types, other than thread sizes ... resistance ranges.

Of course, sometimes style is more important than resistance ... your choice.
