What is the difference between a DSE 801 atty and a Janty Kissbox 304 atty or a Joye 302 atty?

I have purchased a couple of mods from different Vendors that are threaded for DSE 801 atomizers. I did not realize when I ordered that most all of those mods with hand grooved adapters (Protege and Super 6) will ony accept the DSE 801 atty. I interchange my Janty Kissbox 304 (favorite) and Joye 302 atty with my 801 batteries and they all work. Why won't the Kissbox 304 and Joye 302 atty work on a hand made DSE 801 adpater? The Joye and Kissbox don't screw down as far as the 801 on the Protege (haven't received the Super 6 yet) adapter. I have searched but do not see adapters to purchase for the 801 to 304 or 801 to 302. Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't realize that the Kissbox used a different atty than the Joye 302. The Janty/Joye Stick uses the Joye 302 (as do I).

I also didn't realize that the Joye 302 atty doesn't work on the Protege (with 801 fitting). [Are you sure about that?]

I do know that the Joye 302 (my preferred atty) does work with the 901/808batt-to-801atty adapter from Good Prophets (and the one from Awesome Vapor). [I'm pretty confident it would work with similar adapters from MadVapes, Altsmoke, Heaven Gifts, and NHaler.] I use it with Kr8 batts and the DSE905 (which has a 901 fitting).

I don't know of any DSE801-to-Joye302 (or 304) adapters, but, if you can get a 901 fitting for that Protege or Super-6 and the adapter I mentioned, that probably will work.
