Hi all new here just started using e-cigs and really glad to have found this site.
Got a question that really concerns me. What is the law in Florida as far as e-cigs and vape mods?
Lets take a Ego Twist as an example with a tank installed I could imagine a cop seeing this device would jump to some crazy conclusions about it. My question is can I be arrested if a police officer deems my Ego Twist drug paraphernalia? That would be a big bummer. Has anyone here living in Florida had any issues out in public with the police? Thanks:blink:

Police watch you more than what's in your hands. If you see a cop and ignore him, he will ignore you, regardless of what's in your hand.

I walked into a waffle house one night at 3am. There was a cop sitting with his back to the wall. I deliberately sat where he could see everything I was doing and I could not watch him.

I pulled out my device and bottle of juice. I grabbed a napkin and started cleaning my device connections while chatting with the waitress.

well to be honest if you were to put something *illegal* in it, then it would be considered paraphernalia. Otherwise, it is not. I mean anything can be used as drug paraphernalia if someone wants to, even an apple. The fact that it can does not make it so, though. So the long and the short of it is, in Florida, if you are not putting anything that is drug related into the PV, then you have no worries because you are not breaking the law.

the only questions I get from people are "Is that an electronic Cigarette?" followed by "how do you like it?"
I must say that I've never been given funny looks and I drive by police regularly while taking a puff if you were to be stopped and questioned just be polite and explain like you would to someone who asked what it was on the street.

Agreed, need to steer clear of *those* discussions. The main thing to understand is that as long as you are not using your PV for any illegal activities there is no reason to worry about a police officer arresting you. I have never had an issue with a police officer questioning me, or even looking at me funny while using my Ego-T and Nova set up. Whether it be standing outside an establishment, or driving in my large truck right behind/beside them. Most people are in the know about PV's at this time and for that reason there is less a concern than there might have been several years ago when the first came out and there could have been some confusion about exactly what you had in your hand.
