Forget all those stupid numbers. Screw it on and turn it up gradually until you like the way it vapes. There is no "this coil needs this watts" number. Your the one vapeing it, set it for you.
Hi, I have the kanger subtank with the 1.2 ohm on it, the 1.2 ohm says it needs minimum 12W, but I know the istick 12W isn't ACTUAL 12W ! So what would be the minimum wattage on the istick for the subtank with 1.2 ohm.
Thanks

Thanks everyone, I thought it was in some way dangerous to vape on low ohms with incorrect power, eg why would the instructions for the subtank (for the 1.2ohm) say 12w minimum, why do they bother saying that when it actually works powering it at less watts, no danger whatsoever?
Thank You SOOO Much for posting this video! I have an iStick and love love love it, but all of a sudden every flavor I have tastes burned and I'm going through coils like crazy. Such a simple fix, and it has took finding this post for me to figure it out...yes, I am new....lol! But seriously this probably saved my whole vaping experience.

Forgive me, but I always though one of these "Subtanks" somehow came with a sub-ohm coil. 1.2 ohms certainly is not sub-ohm.
You can vape with any amount of watts you like best (as long as your battery/APV is capable of supplying it).
Personally, I like 11 watts of power, so I would need 3.6v if I was using a 1.2 ohm coil.
Does the iStick have the capability to 'buck' (decrease) battery voltage down to 3.6v? .... If not, put a higher ohm coil in that Kanger Subtank clearomizer ... You don't need to be stuck with a 1.2 ohm coil do you?

If you want 12 watts of power using that 1.2 ohm coil, you need to need it feed it 3.8v

NOTE: Like someone else posted here .... Just start out at low power and keep increasing the power until you are most happy with the vape ... Nothing too it
You will find your 'sweet spot' doing it that way
