Hi all!

I was just wondering what your area is like as far as vaping goes. I live in Fort Myers Florida and you see people with e-cigs EVERYWHERE. They have opened countless e-cig shops in my area and also have radio stations playing ads for these shops. Even driving to work i see 10-15 people walking or driving around with an e-cig. A big thing here is having a lanyard with their ego's hanging from it.

Just curious to see if vaping is as big in other areas.

I live in the heart of R.J. Reynolds tobacco manufacturing. When I smoked the stinkies they were manufactured 20 mins up the road. The college I attended here has several buildings named in honor of RJR. I see a handful of ecig smokers. Mainly they use blu cigs or other cig lookalikes. They all look at my stuff as kinda strange or over the top.

I've seen a few people using them at my college. A few nods exchanged. We have three B&Ms though, and the folks there seem to generally know what's up. So we have resources a lot of smaller towns may not. I haven't had much opportunity to have conversations about it, since generally these persons are glimpsed while I'm hustling to get across the campus to my next class.

I usually use an ego style while I'm out and about, and most people seem to know what it is even if it's not a cigalike. The biggest question I get isn't "what is that" but "does it work?" And I can say that I haven't had a cigarette in a year, and that says it all without me having to say more, generally.

I'm in Richmond, Va. I might as well be on my own personal vaper's island! Not that no one vapes here, there are some, I just don't see them besides at the mall kiosks or the 1 local B&M we have here, aside from my wife's uncle who is a part-time vaper. But then again, I have a wife and 1.5 kids so I don't get out much. I'm going to a big concert event next month (Chili Cook-off for any locals who may see this) and I'll be rocking my VAMO or my ELA if it's to me by then, so I'm sure I'll get some attention and hopefully run into some of my vaping brethren in the crowd!

Dallas/Fort Worth is becoming a huge vaping scene. Since Dallas went NO SMOKING in all public areas, you see more and more people vaping. I have been acosted at DFW Airport, then let go after I explained the APV to him. I have NOT been approached in restaurants or bars.... in fact most bars know exactly what I'm doing, and don't bother harrassing me! I've even converted a couple of bar owners to vapers!

As a freshman college student the only "vaping" scene we have is kids spending 8-16 bucks on disposable e cigs and disposable e hookas so they can get nicotine in school housing. they have no clue about egos or tanks or clearos or ANYTHING. Some don't even know rechargeables exist and only know of Blu if they do.

Anybody whos seen my vape stuff has freaked out momentarily.

I'm just south of Daytona Beach FL, and while I don't see a lot of people vaping, there are vapers around. The other day I went to the a Burger King and about three of the employees were standing around (outside--obviously on break) vaping with ego styles.

That said I noticed that around here its mostly younger people (35ish and younger) who smoked taking up PVs. When I'm sampling juices at the local B&M its always packed and I'm usually the oldest person in there--a lot of the other customers seem to be in their mid-20s (so I have a decade on them). Though some older ladies have shown up too, and Mrs. Katz told me when she stopped by to pick up a "pick up order" from there that they were helping a guy that looked to be in his 50s.

I honestly am very surprised to see this many people with e-cigs in my area, its almost like its taking over Fort Myers/Cape Coral. Alot of people have silver bullet type mods with a tank on top. Now i will be honest, the people who work at these e-cig shops know NOTHING. I went into one and none of them knew what an atomizer was.

Pretty much non-existent in Orlando. I haven't once seen another vaper, and I vape in public regularly.

The only place I seem to meet vapers is in our local B&M.

I'm thinking there might be more presence in the club scene with the Blus, but I don't frequent the clubs anymore. Too old for that mess. :)

I work at a Madison Area Tech College (Wisconsin) as a custodian. The only vapors I am aware of are my co-worker who got me started, another guy on 3rd shift, and 1 guy who work(ed) at Subway. I know a student here who has a cigalike but she doesn't use it, was talking to her out at the designated smoking section on campus and she carries it around but still smokes analogs.

Other than that, I have not seen anyone else vaping here in Madison. (It's lonely)

I'm starting to see a few where I live ( Louisville, KY ) but I've never seen anyone with anything bigger than an ego T, and only a few at that. They sell the knock-offs EVERYWHERE. Now, when I went to Nashville TN this last Saturday they actually had a b+m vape shop and people had all kinds of set ups at the concert I went to. It was awesome to see. :toast:
