Back to a General White portion in the cheek, cup o joe headed for the gullet, Bruton Scotch up the (sniff) snot locker. I'll relax a bit, then set in with a few vapes of 36mg 555. Saving the last portion of Thunder 'til the mornin'. Man, I hope that order's here tomorrow.

Thunder Frosted mini. The General White seems to be making my mouth on the raw side, too much salt or citrus. Been using the General a fair amount the last 2 days while I nurse the Thunder 'til the order finally SHOWS UP. I did notice on the way to work, when I took a drink of water right after popping a white, I got the hiccups for a bit. Evidently the white portions release the nic pretty quick if they get very wet. Haven't had this with the mini's.

Very interesting my exp with whites is they are dry and take a while to even release flavor or nic. I actually sprinkled mine with water and then I liked them.

First time it happened. Hiccupped for probably the better part of 5 miles. Waste not, want not, though . Still don't really care for the General Whites, but they're not all that bad with strong, black coffee .

I definitely prefer the original portions to the whites. Supposedly the same thing aside from the extra moisture added but there ya have it.

I'm okay with it (Mocca) .. and have only two pieces left. I just won't reorder. I used to get Offroad Coffee/Vanilla and repeated my orders several times. Then, it was cancelled. Last week, 300 more tins were suddenly made in response to pleas from American snusers. That's great customer service from V2 (who make your Thunder Frosted!).

I've tried a lot of "coffee" nasal snuff and only Wow! Coffee Bite hits the spot.

I found the General White to be fairly tastless. The Dry Mini Mint had more flavor but smaller portion. All so far have been better than the Discrete Nordic Ice. I guess I will try the General White portion Wintergreen next.

TV: Yesterday, I read a long medical study done in China that used nicotine and caffeine in combination. The result? Subjects burned far more calories and did not gain weight when they used both. Here's the summary paragraph:

In conclusion, we found that 1 mg nicotine has a pronounced thermogenic effect, which is increased by 100% when it is combined with 100 mg caffeine. Increasing the nicotine dose from 1 to 2 mg did not increase the thermogenic effect but produced side effects in most subjects. If the thermogenic effect of adding caffeine can be translated into a corresponding enhancement of nicotine’s effect on long-term energy balance, it may be useful in the prevention of weight gain after smoking cessation.

The nicotine part explains why people tend to gain weight so rapidly when they quit smoking. Indeed, it's said that smoking keeps 7 pounds off a body at all times. But this study was unique in using nicotine and caffeine at the same time for a much greater thermogenic impact.

The difference in energy after only 1mg of nicotine (a single cigarette, two sniffs of nasal snuff, a medium-strength snus) was that from lying down in rest and standing up. Add coffee and the body thinks it's walking around, even when it's resting in the recliner! Sort of like ... exercise without effort.

I figured you'd appreciate the synergy of the pairing.

FYI: Jolt chewing gum has the requisite caffeine. And Firebreak chewing gum from Sweden was cheap and each Chiclet-sized piece had 1mg of nicotine. But, wouldn't you know it, they just stopped making and selling Firebreak. Damn. I was going to pair 'em up after a meal.

The salt is what I was warned about as well as told I'd get used to. Some folks said it would take several days but I actually got to where the salt was of no import after the second day of snusing.

The flavored snus like the wintergreen or pomegranate or licorice or whiskey or.... does tend to hit hard and then fade. Roll the portion around a bit with your tongue, press in your mouth and then place it back up under the lip and you will get more of the flavor.

Nothing under my lip or in my nose right now as I'm off to bed.

While your in dreamland I'm working on a LD Black. This is about as good as licorice gets. Nice rich black licorice flavor with a natural sweetness. I've been doing my own rounds of the licorice favored snus trying to find one that works for me. Funny as I have never bought licorice. Just not a candy I like. If it doesn't have chocolate in it,,, what's the point? But licorice and tobacco go together very well and LD Black is the best I've had by a long shot.

One I haven't tried is Off Road. Have a can in the freezer but I can't see how it would be better then LD given the reputation of Off Road portions.
