This getting old stuff is expensive. Just bought a door lock box so emergency teams can get in if mom's incapacitated and doors are locked, a automatic pill dispenser that can be filled every two weeks with loud audio and visual alarms and a new monitoring system with a push button pendant and fall detection circuitry in case she falls and is incapable of pushing the pendant. Three hundred bucks later we're ready to go.

Hopefully the weather isn't too bad tomorrow. I have a lot of shifting around to do is these guts are going to be able to do the install next week.

Good morning. Skrymr I have a Char Griller smoker too but it didn't come with the fire box. They did get me a cover though. It's big enough that I can do the indirect heating thing with a couple racks of ribs. The side fire box would really give me a lot more room to cook.

Roth, it seems that nothing is cheap anymore. Sorry you had to absorb the expense on that stuff but if it gives you some peace of mind then its probably worth it.

Yea, I'm so happy that FIOS is not getting installed Tuesday! I was off a week, it's the following Tuesday giving me more time to procrastinate. Well at least more time to understand how the install goes. I stopped at the neighbor's house this evening, but I think he was sleeping so I quietly left. He works one of those weird shifts for Merck and I never know when he's asleep or awake. He doesn't either.

I had a good day of poker, made some money but for some reason everything was kind of hectic. From that standpoint, it was probably the worst day ever, but it was still all good.

You guys talking about smoking and grill cooking makes me long for the good old days. I have a Big Green Egg and a gas Weber that haven't been used in at least 4 years. That woman that lives here doesn't like smoked or BBQ so I just got tired of fighting it.

    Catch Euch.

Heck Roth, cook a small brisket for yourself and have leftovers for a week. You can buy a trimmed tip that is only a few pounds.

I just got back from the movies with my youngest daughter. It was nice just her and I doing something.

I would love to get a Big Green Egg. I've heard great things about them. I didn't think anyone could pass on smoked or barbecue... That's like saying no to bacon, isn't it??? LOL

Hitt, what movie did you see? I'm planning on taking Sherry's grandson to see The Avenger's when it comes out. I can't wait.

Nothing on the grill tonight. Tomorrow is barbecued chicken.

Skry, go figure, she loves bacon. She's from NJ, so that might explain her problems.

The Egg is ancient, I would say nearly 40 years old. She developed a few cracks that I had mended and found some paint for both the egg and the hinges and replaced some of the internal parts maybe eight years ago. When her kids lived here it wasn't so bad since it was 3 against 1. However it's just not worth it now, plus it now need maintenance again.

Let's see egg? woman? egg? woman? It would be so much easier replacing the woman, I even know a great candidate.

It was our club training day today. It was a beautiful day for it too. I love training days cuz I get to hang out with my club buddies and my kids get to play outside all day. Oh ya, working the dogs is ok too. One of my fellow clubbers got pretty heated up at his dog today and I stepped between them before he did something he might regret. We had quite the staredown at which time I honestly wondered if I was gonna get swung at (there is a good reason no one else stepped up). He's actually one of my favorite people, but when he loses his temper, well... he loses his temper. After our staredown he was able to get back to himself and work successfully. I know he'd do the same for me. We are working with our paid professional next weekend. A man who truly destests me. For no apparent reason. I can't wait. Hj is working for me quite well, and Titus is still Titus. I truly love my Sundays.
Now back to another week at work. Yikes. My mother bought me a halsa mat. I think I need to give it a try. My back is still very touchy after my injury last fall. My hubby says it'll take at least a year to be back to normal, and that's if I don't reinjure it.

Good morning. Axl I'm glad you had a good day yesterday. It's a good thing that your friend didn't swing on you. It would have been awful embarassing for him to get his .... kicked by a lady in front of the whole group.

Another day in paradise here. I always get to work a few minutes early so I can come in, get some coffee made and check emails. A typical monday, I go out to get water for the coffee and a customer is standing at my door wanting to know if the piece of equipment he dropped off Friday afternoon is ready yet. Of course it's not. Just a crappy way to start the day. Not to mention I woke with a sore throat and sinus cold.

Dead around here yesterday. Maybe everyone had the Monday blues or the nearly 50 degree drop hit everyone. I picked up the big scoot from the shop today and took the little one in (trying to beat the summer log jam). It was cautious riding on the lighter machine. Not sure how high some of the gusts were, but it wasn't joy riding. Much more stable with a couple hundred extra pounds below me.

Darn Axl, perhaps you'll be heading to Gutter country, where in Tennessee are nationals? Also stop picking on the men, even if they are being idiots, but it's good you're defending the dogs. I'd probably side with the dogs to.

The Verizon contractor came out and was looking where he'd have the cable run. He was looking at a direct shot from the pole and he mentioned a try that was laying there that was an issue. My first thought was I'd just get the chainsaw out and clear it. Then I looked down the line and wondered why he was worried about the try. I saw at least three boulders in the path. We quickly decided a route out to along side the driveway made a lot more sense. I's probably adding another 30-40 yards of conduit and fiber, but the ditch witch will have a much easier path. This should be interesting.

Time to catch some shut eye.

Gutter, we need pics of the new scoot. What kind did you get?

Axl good for you for standing up to the guy. There must have been a few nervous moments.

Hitt, one of the things I don't miss about my old job is dealing with customers who want everything yesterday.

The first night back on second shift went well. I like the solitude. I got more done than I did in a day on first shift, despite the fact that I had to fix the machine right away. The guy they had running it on first shift tried making some adjustments without knowing what he was doing..... I hope he doesn't try that again, that part is barely holding together right now the way it is.

    Just relaxing with:

Good morning. Skrymr I can definitely understand you enjoying the solitude of the second shift. That's one thing I miss about a job I had many years ago. I was doing basically the same thing I do now but it was for a smaller business. There were just three of us and I was often left by myself at the shop to work the day away. I'd crank up the radio and get lots of work done without interruption. Those days are long gone. My day is one constant interruption from beginning to end. I've not been feeling well the past couple days and that has just added to my attitude at work. I understand I work for a small company but there are a few things that I am asked to do that fall no where near my job description. Sometimes things just get to me and now is one of those times.

It was rock and roll Tuesday, I just hope I moved enough rock. With the change in routing, they were planning to lay the conduit across my front yard that happens to be my septic system. It didn't hit me until this morning so I looked over the situation. To run it right along the drive had the advantage of never forgetting where it was. The only issue was there was a lot of rock stacked around two areas the ditch witch was going to need to pass through. This is boulder country so there is a lot of rock which gets used to build walls for everything. 40 feet of rock, some very heavy and awkward and I've got about 2 feet of room for the witch.

The contractor said 3 feet, but that's not happening with trees and big a@@ boulders in the way. I'll use a pick to give him his ditch if I have to. We'll see.
