Ive noticed people have been edgy lately too. I think maybe because of the FDA rulings in April? There has been quite of bit of nic envy going on lately too!!
Huh, I had a PM from someone who really disliked my attempt to help a few weeks back and it was derogatory enough that I knew ignore was my best option, but I haven't seen too much in the threads. (But I haven't been looking much either.)
My Grandfather, who grew up in a small town, had a theory on all this.
He said that if 1 out of 500 people were Bad but you lived in a town of 500, you don’t notice Him/Her. But if you live in a City of 500,000 then it seems that there is an Army of Bad people roaming the streets.
I can remember a time, when the ECF as much Smaller, that a Troll sighting was Rare. But now the ECF is Huge. Sometimes it does seem like there is an Army of them out there.
They wouldn't last a minute on that other forum ( VF ) probably why they don't get many.

I think a lot of it is vaping is growing exponentially and with all of the newcomers, myself included, there are a lot of people just starting out asking the same questions over and over. I old and have a lot of time on my hands so I read everything I can before I open my mouth with questions. It's hard reading the same old questions over and over. Add in all of the drama from Armageddon in the air, it's a recipe for disaster. Well, sorta. 
We just need to try and be more patient with each other and all get around the campfire and sing Kumbaya, or just knock the snot out of the trouble-makers. Nah, just learn to ignore them, or use the ignore function if it bothers you that much. Anyway, that's just my two cents worth.

On a 100,000+ members forum it's unfortunately perfectly normal with plenty trolls, I've seen it over and over again over the last decade on a bunch of different forums, photo, audio, skating, guitars, you name it.....That's just how it is.
I was a moderator on a 100k+ member longboarding forum, with most of the members being 12-18 years old. ECF is child's play compared to it...

These forums seem really tame compared to some others I've been to. Most of the people here are great. I've been to some forums that pounce on you as soon as you post, no matter what you post, and continue until you leave.
I was on an Olympic Target Shooting Forum. No trolls. Or I should say, they only got one post. Unfortunately it was so heavily moderated that honest folk didn't stay long either. Guess it just comes with the territory. And you just know the ....**** don't say peep when they're out and about in society coming face to face with others. I just don't get what the thrill is.
