Mostly, I think it is to emphasize that it is not Boge (the materials supplier for Dekang and I believe a few other Chinese makers), the source for the vast majority of the eliquid out there.

There are enough people out there who don't like the taste of Dekang, so many customers want to be sure that's not what they're buying. Otherwise, sellers are not always straightforward about where they get their liquid from.

Personally, I just can't stand the undertaste of the liquids from China, and I find them rarely true-to-flavor. If I liked them, I'd buy them too.
With US-made eliquids, I've had tastes I didn't care for, but never something that truly tasted hideous or nothing like the claimed flavor...which I've gotten a fair bit with Dekang.

Safety isn't the best argument for buying domestic. (Leaford posted some exquisite pictures in the V4L subforum showing the outstanding precautions made in their supplier's Chinese factory.) Really, with any supplier, European/American/Chinese, the issue of cleanliness and safety remains the same. It's always acceptable to ask about the source of the liquid and/or the conditions under which it is made. But it's a new industry, so from there, you largely have to go on trust and reputation.

I haven't had to pay much of a premium for my favorite US-made liquids. Some out there are overpriced. My guideline is $0.75/ml, almost always less, unless they are sample sizes in something that will be cheaper in higher quantity.

So I buy on taste, not on principle. It's impossible to avoid some components from China (atomizers, etc.) so really, I don't care where the nicotine is sourced as long as care has been taken to make sure it's pure.

US made does not mean it is safe.. it is a unregulated product,

I worked for Pepsi for awhile was a good job still drink mt dew.. but the place is not that clean.

have worked as a cook in a few high end restaurants even there there is a lot of contamination. if it was not for the heat killing most of the bacteria and germs you would be sick every time you ate out..

but since the FDA is not involved the main concern would be if too much nic made it into a vat and bypassed testing

"Made in the USA" doesn't necessarily mean "Made with QUALITY in the USA."

However, what I can say about the Eliquid Planet Essence (USA) line is that it does NOT use the same base liquid that so many suppliers use. The base for the Essence line is different . . . it looks different (completely clear), and it tastes different. There is no perfume aftertaste, no off flavors . . . just very clean.

Moreover, the 16 mg Essence liquids provide the same level of "kicK' that I typically experience from most 36 mg liquids from elsewhere.

Lest anyone think I'm a completely fanboy ;), I'll say that I've also found this same level of quality and clean taste from the Decadent Vapour line being sold through Totally Wicked.

I'll pay a premium for a premium product . . . both the Essence line and the Decadent Vapour line fall in the premium category . . . well worth the extra $$ if you've got it.

to me made in the USA means Not Dekang or further, home mixed. Alot of suppliers will just sell juice and display the flavors only and not show the bottle. Once it arrives and you see that orange saftly cap on top you feel swindled. Once I even peeled the "marb" sticker off a bottle and saw DK's usa mix logo printed underneath. If its USA or "home" made I know its gonna have many ingredients to increase good flavor and usually a mix of pg and vg (DK is all PG i think).

Sorry to say, but made in the USA probably means mixed in the USA or flavored in the USA. To my knowledge there is no cheap domestic source for pure nicotine. Maybe these guys are cooking it up from tobacco in their garages, but is that better?

Until a major manufacturer with their own lab and QC starts producing e-liquid domestically you are better off buying from China.

Well there is no way I could know what enviroment Geoff uses. I totally know there is a lot of difference in tastes from Dekang and tastyvapor also MFS tastes a lot better than dekang as well but to each their own.

One of the reasons I have been using some of the USA made liquids is that if nothing else I can taste the difference and like the difference that I taste.

Line up 10 different mlb/usa mix, 555 and camel from 10 different suppliers and every one is almost exactly alike, try Johnson Creek or Halo and you know it's JC or Halo.

As far as price concerns I don't see it, I pay (with coupon codes) $8.99 for 15ml bottles of 555 and camel (from the place I like the best to order from) and the like and I pay $8.99 for 15ml of JC and $20 per 30ml bottle for Halo.

Sure you can find the Chinese liquids for cheaper than $8.99 per 15ml but I have had price shopping bite me a few times so I don't do it anymore.

Many places that are making USA juice stress that all ingredents come from the USA.

Btw, there is still a place for 555 MLB, Hilton and camel in my supplies sometimes the old standbys are the best.

EDIT: one more thing is that many of these smaller USA guys (and gals) are doing this out of passion for what they wanted to vape and it grew into a business and thats the thing I like more than anything else.

American eLiquid Store uses all USA made ingredients.
From web site:AmericaneLiquidStore.com proudly manufactures our eLiquid right here in the USA from the finest raw ingredients available. We do NOT purchase "premade nicotine liquid" from China and then mix it and resell.
In the FAQ at the bottom under "About us" they write a little about their lab.

I just received some 60mg unflavored and their new tobacco flavor to mix my own. Haven't really tried it yet. Cut a little of the 60mg down to 18mg and it tasted real clean. But I'm trying to use up my China juice first. Don seems like he really cares about the quality he sells to his costumers. Give him a call or email I'm sure he would answer your question.

Hi Bob
No questions at this point really. More interested in track record of the vendor.

I only came up with 1 post doing a search on the business name so...

EDIT:Just did another search, spelling, and quite a few positive posts actually.
Site is bookmarked!
