I got my first kissbox classic about 2 months ago. I loved it. I stuck with my first two atomizers until one of them burned out. The other one kept going strong (and still is.) It's got a much harder draw now, but the throat hit and the amount of vapor are unbelievably good, so i'm afraid to clean it or mess with it in any way. When I ordered a replacement, there seemed (perhaps only in comparison) to be no resistance on the draw whatsoever, and vapor production was very thin. I thought maybe it was because I had gotten used to this hard-drawing vapor machine of an atomizer, so I ordered another replacement. Same deal with that one. Very unimpressive.

I honestly can't remember how this good atomizer felt when I first got it two months ago, when it was my first ecig with nothing to compare it to. So tell me, have I completely spoiled myself now? Has this one atomizer achieved a level of goodness that no other atomizer is going to be able to reach? When I try to vape with either of my other atomizers, it's completely unsatisfying. No throat hit, decent vapor, but nothing to write home about.

I'm worried that as soon as this atomizer dies, I'm off e-smoking!

You bring up an excellent point!

EVERY device I have has a different experience and flavor.
I believe there is a "sweet spot" with these things.
When the conditions are just right... air flow, amount of liquid, pull and atomiser condition all come together to give you that "perfect experience".
Slightly alter just one thing, and it's not the same... very frustrating.

I'm struggling with my Kissbox too.

I bought it a month ago. It took me a week to be rid of the nasty chemical taste and then was wonderful in every way for a day. On the evening of that one good day the atomiser burnt out resulting in the cartridge being full of what I presume to be carbon-like crumbs. I contacted Janty Europe and good enough, Harry replaced the atomiser within the week.

This brought me back to square one. The taste is still spectacularly awful. It leaks like a bloody tap and on an even worse note, this is the only e-Cig that can bring back a morning Smoker's cough for me. Three weeks later, and hardly used, it lies on the desk looking shiny and pretty and new. :(

It's a shame really. This device is extremely well made, it's light and comfortable to use. I find the draw really easy, just like breathing through a thick straw in fact. I get tons of vapour but the dreadful taste and the lung irritation is too much.

PS Even while I've been typing this, I've taken two pulls to remember the experience and already I'm clearing my throat!

And during this breaking-in period, do they sort of produce wimpy-er vapor like mine are?

Thanks for all the advice guys, keep it coming.

Short answer is Yes the break in period has a wimpy vapor
keep smoking it and it will get better.

Also put 2 small drips in that atomizer to break it in faster

Thanks

It took me a few weeks to develop good technique with my Kissbox and to get used to the tastes. I can't get good results with a cartridge usually, I drip most of the time. The atomiser seems to be pretty efficient and vaporises the liquid quickly so it can be pretty thirsty. The trick is to get the right balance of wet enough to give good vapour but not so wet that it leaks and floods. Really ... I'm not joking, it took me ages to get good with mine but it was worth it, I love Kissbox atomisers now.

Mine sometimes have a mysterious lingering smokey taste Lil that makes me cough a bit but so far I've vaped through that or had them replaced.

Believe me, I've been dripping these things since about day one. I quickly figured out that carts are not the way to go for me.

Another thing that I'd forgotten about- when I first started vaping, the entire first day or two, vaping really smelled and tasted like that slightly sweet fog-machine smell/taste that you get when you stand too close to one at a club. That went away pretty quickly, but I remember it was really distinct at first. When I bought new atomizers, I thought that taste/smell would come back, but it never did. I wonder if that's just because I've gotten used to it, or whether indeed each of my subsequent atomizers has just been crap?

I notice that when my carts get too dry or too "worn", the taste is horrid and they burn my throat. Don't know that this might be part of the problem or not but thought I'd mention it.

Good luck with it!

I bought mine 10 days ago and until yesterday I couldn't get a good vapor from mine either. It went through a cleaning cycle or the switch got stuck and heated up and its been working great ever since. I'm waiting to get some other juice to see if this makes a difference also. Been strictly smoking the Janty juice through it so far.

Thanks Lu. Definitely worth a mention. With and without the carts, taste remains the same - no flavourings get through whatsoever.

I think my immediate problem is I'm still waiting for the primer to wear off. I haven't used the KB nearly enough in the past 3 weeks for that to happen - my fault entirely. I shall grin and bear it methinks.
