I can't figure this out,,,,,,

Just about everyone seems to love some Clearo device,,,,,,,

But for the life of me, I can't get a decent vape out of them.

I've been using 2.4 ohm devices so far,,,,,

and either I have to turn the VV down so far (3.7 or less) that I can't taste a thing and the vape is way too cool for my taste,,,,,,

or it tastes burnt.

I've tried a CE4 and an EVOD so far,,,,,,,

same thing. It's totally frustrating,,,,,,,,,,,,I totally LOVE the idea of knowing how much juice I have in that thing, but it just tastes so weak it's not worth it,,,,,,or it tastes burnt.

So it's back to regular old cartos for me, I guess,,,,,,,,

I do have one more CE4+ coming, but I can't really see that being any different.

Any thoughts of anything I can try next?

Ive tried a number of different clearomizers, and the only ones I will bother using, is Kanger Bottom Coil, so, Evods and Protanks.

I havent tried any other bottom coil besides Kanger, but Im talking about the usual clearomizer/vision/stardust/ego/ce4/redux etc etc. Either throwaway or with replaceable heads.

    They're not worth the headache.

Now, Kanger Evod/Protanks, I do like. With a caveat.

-I ALWAYS remove one of the flavor wicks on the atomizer head. Generally there is two wicks on top of the coiled wick. I take one out. If there is three, I take two out. I always run the Kangers with one flavor wick.

    EXCEPT

for 100VG, in which case, I run with no flavor wicks.

Running them in "stock" form, I find them to not wick the juice quick enough. Perhaps with 100PG or 80/20, but I tend to use juice with at least 30%VG, often more, sometimes even 100vg.

    ALL THAT said,

Ill take a carto tank with a low res boge over ANY bottom coil setup any day of the week. I DO like the protank/evod, but Carto Tanks with BOGES are a better vape IMO.

If you like cartos, try a carto tank. They have small ego sized ones as well as the larger volume ones.
I haven't had the best of luck from evods. They were great for me at first (I had to take that flavor wick out) but,,, then it floods. Ugh
My sister has been having great luck with them and the mt3s. So I gave her my evods and the heads. I just can't anymore lol
I use carto tanks now exclusively and I'm happy.
I do have a mini pro tank on its way, we will see. I'm kind of hoping it works :)
I wish you the best of luck!

The iclear16 and iclear30 give the best flavor and performance, IMHO, than the Kanger products. Outside of a RDA, the iclears are my main device.

I hear good things about the Smoktech ARO and Tumbler -- they don't have the wicking issues of the Protank, which to me is very inconsistent.

Also, be on the lookout for the Vision Aurora. Don't think it's hits the US yet, but it's been getting raves.

sounds like I might have to try a carto tank :)

thanks for the advice :) Now to try and find a carto tank that works good on my new Vamo :)

I personally like these for the initial learning curve. The locking ring on the bottom is a big help.

    Smoktech DCTank

You don't have to buy from these guys. You can find them cheaper.

I've also tried many tanks with the atty and wick. Some vapers just don't like them. Nothing wrong with that. I myself prefer cartos at a higher resistance(3ohm or higher) which definitely brings out the flavor in everything at higher voltage IMO. Some say tanks with replaceable cartos is old technology, but to each their own. I personally can't put them down. Good luck finding the perfect set up

The Ibtanked is 22mm which i believe matches the Vamo perfectly in size. Its also an amazing carto tank. I use boge LR cartos with mine. I feel like the lack of flange makes it a lot easier to fill or swap your carto in the tank. If youd like there are videos on my ecf blog showing the process

I will echo the iClear suggestions. I use 16's and a 30 and love them. Top coil, so warm vape, lots of flavor and I run them at about 8 to 8.5 Watts on my Vamo. I am not a fan of bottom coil personally. Part of my addiction was the throat hit so the warm vape helps cut that alot. I did get a Vivi Mini and I like it as well.....
