Ill play! Ill probably get some *groans* for this one though.

13 year Police Detective with a specialty in internet crimes. Im a member of the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Which means I basically go after child molesters, child traffickers, and child porn distributors. Not something I wanted to get involved in but as I dont have nor want kids they thought I would have a more objective attitude towards the investigations. It still sucks though!!


I know with the current climate regarding the public and Law Enforcement I expect to get flamed and trolled a little but in my mind I go after a special breed of evil so you guys go easy on me! LOL!!

I work on this yacht as a stewardess and 1st Mate. I basically run the insides of the yacht while the Captain runs the yacht. You all might think it is glamorous, but just this week I had to provision for a 14 day trip. I bought $580 of FOOD! ( I spent 2 hours picking it all out (2 cartloads) (a half hour to check out!)) Then had to go put it all away. It took 5 hours total time! The day before I bought $150 of paper and non-food items. Today, I had to vacuum, dust and clean 6 toilets, set up the bosses office at the dining table, AND wipe down the whole upper deck of the boat! Starting tomorrow I will be taking care of five people for 14 days. But, the pay is good and the Captain is my husband!

That "special breed" of evil is absolutely the worst type! You are to be commended! The children of this world need "love" not "victimization". The only thought I had is how tough your job must be: to see evil everywhere. I hope you do realize that if you save one child you have actually saved a village. How a society treats children, old people and the mentally challenged is a measure of it's greatness. You are part of that greatness! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Late to the party. I'm a Sales/Service Manager at a nation wide retailer. Hours are long, work is fast paced, money is no where near enough, but, my boss is cool with vaping. Makes it worth while and not so bad after all. So if I'm not doing 10 things at once, I'm probably somewhere in the warehouse, hiding out, vaping.

So in which fulfillment facility do you work? I'm sure you're talking about Am..on, so chances are my company sold and installed your storage rack and conveyor system. We did CHA1,CHA2, BNA1, BNA2, and BNA3 there in Tennessee.
BTW, that's what I do, as well as designing, selling, and installing retail fixtures for companies like Di.ks Sporting Goods. I don't do the installing part myself, I'm the designer AKA Project Engineer.

I have nothing against cops. I know many people think that cops are the enemy but they are people too who risk their lives to keep us safe. Thanks for everything you've done! Granted I've been arrested twice

Don't see how anyone could be negative about what you do .....it's a job most would run from, and even if you don't find it your favourite work, it's a fine job, and one of the most worthy!

Our eldest son is a police officer (crash investigation & f/arms) - he sees & does some pretty unpleasant things.

Ive seen some pretty horrible things in my 13 years both as a patrol officer and as an investigator. You get used to it after a while.

I always said if I ever woke up in the morning and said "...ugh! Im not going to work today" I would quit and find something else to do. I LOVE my job and cant imagine doing anything else. Iys pretty much ruined me for any other type of work. LOL!
