Ever saw Mean Streets? An early Scorsese film (1973) with Robert De Niro and Harvey Keital. Awesome.
What about White Heat with James Cagney? A great scene where a guy in the trunk says it's stuffy, he needs some ventilation. Cagney, chewing on a chicken leg growls "Oh, need some ventilation, huh?" He then nonchalantly empties his pistol into the trunks lid. Classic.

Can't say i've seen Mean Street, but I have seen Heat a few times. I've got a hard drive here full of my favorite movies, looks like I'll be adding more to my collection.

Goodfellas was a really good movie. Also gotta remember Casino. I liked Heat but that was mainly because of the whole 30 minute gunfight after the bank robbery. Also the movie Public Enemies was based on the true story of John Dillinger. He was in fact a real person that the movie was based on. Oh yeah and Hoodlum. Love that movie. Lucky Luciano, Bumpy Johnson, and Dutch Schultz. Great movies.
