All up in your grill..
Well I just added those two to my netflix list. Although I love the Hellraiser movies so far, should I go any further than #4 or should I save myself the time?

anyone got any good horror movies that they know are streaming on netflix that I should check out? Send a list, I love the streaming option, makes it so much easier to add and watch.
The first 3 are ace. The 4th is pretty good but the ending will tick you off. Skip the rest.

I just watched NightBreed last week. I love his sidekick with the peeled-off face.

To be honest though, I've always enjoyed Stephen King more than Clive Barker. Clive always seems to go for demons and dark magic. It's always someone who petitioned for special powers, or evil entities vying for control.

King likes to feature baddies that don't really have a "good" or "bad" orientation... they just are. Cujo, IT, Christine... they are all presented as "stuff that happened" without some evil bringing them about... Charlie's pyrokinesis, Carrie's telekinesis, and a million of his bad guys are nothing more than normal things that inadvertantly got fouled up. Even the hotel room in "1408", he implicitly states that the room isn't haunted... it's just bad. No reason it got that way, no way to fix it. It just is.

In other words, King's stories end up being about people in bad situations with few options. You can identify with his characters because they live in a real world and aren't asked to make leaps of faith about the dark dominion that wants to envelop us all. You end up asking yourself, "What would I do?" which really allows the fear to settle into your bones.

At least that's my take on it. YMMV and all that.
In all fairness king has a much larger body of work to choose from when making a film. King does perhaps have a more seductive writing style that draws you in a bit more then Barkers. But Barker is alot more consistent. From front to back his works have the same feel and the same artistic integrity. King on the other hand can't come up with a decent ending to save his life. some examples:

Spoiler alert!!!!

It: the awesome evil scary demon clown is actually a giant spider from outer space. (LOL I mean seriosly dude? 600 pages for that!?!?)

Needful things: The sheriff bests the devil by pulling some paper flowers out of his sleeve and saying get outta my town! (groan)

The Stand: A nuclear explosion is created when god's hand comes down to activate it. (uber lame)

And don't even get me started on sleepwalkers.

Just watched The Crazies - not bad - had kind of night of the living dead thing about it.
I like Clive Barker's movies also especially liked The Midnight Meat Train.
Just saw Darkness Falls on Netflix streaming - worth watching.
Also liked The Machinist - on Netflix streaming.
I Also see Netflix streaming has The Hunger - I saw it years ago when I was a kid - going to check it out and see if it's as good as I remember - as well as The Night Stalker tv series - scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.

I am a hard core Zombie movie freak so I have to say my all time favorits are

"Night of the Living Dead" (the original)
I saw this at 15 or 16 and was scared for days
"Dawn of the Dead" (the original)
Spent many years scared to go to the mall. If you had to use the bathroom you had to so down a hall just like in the movie.

All time number one favorit is "The Exorcist"
that movie terrified me and I swear it left emotional damaged....j/k
