A month into vaping and i can already forsee this being a pretty expensive hobby.

With that said, i wanted to know if you guys have a set budget for vaping. What you set aside each week or month for vaping. What does your budget allow you to purchase as far as juices, mods, accessories, supplies and everything in between.

I do, and this far in it's near zero. Every few months, irregularly, I'll need to replace a battery ($30 per).

I DIY, so every year or so I need more PG and VG to the tune of $25. I have enough nicotine for years in the freezer, and flavoring for at least another year at this rate. Flavoring is cheap. Nic is expensive.

I also rebuild my Kanger T3 bases, and have wick and wire on-hand for at least a year and a half. It wasn't expensive to begin with.

My estimated budget for the next 12 months is around $250.

Ideally thats what i would like my budget to be. But being so new, thats just out of the picture right now. I want to try everything and i want to try it yesterday. Im already buying supplies for DIY but i need to know what flavors i like first before i fully commit.

It takes a while to get there. Once you stabilize on a battery or mod (I use really basic batteries, actually, as I don't need VV or VW), DIY flavor, and topper for your battery (by preference one you can rebuild if that's what you want to do) prices really drop. Plus train yourself out of "New, Shiny, ORDER!" which can take a bit.

From start to finish over the course of my vaping time, I've spent a grand total of $2004.31 (I'm also really retentive and note these things). Since I would have spent almost $13,000 on cigarettes, I'm not upset.

What was most important to me, at first, was to have the proper tools to succeed (for example, I bought a Provari to celebrate the 1 month mark, but it has also helped me be successful every day since). Cost wasn't an issue - how much was quitting worth? Even if it cost more than smoking at first, and it did, it was worth it. Now, almost 7 months in, I have the proper tools to stay off cigs, and my expenses have been greatly reduced due to 1) having good hardware by this point, 2) DIY juice, and 3) rebuilding coils and using cotton wicks. I might add that I am also wasting less money now because of lessons learned and being further along on the learning curve. My point is that it may seem like it's going to cost a lot, and at first it might, but it doesn't have to.

What is a good reliable company to get flavors from with out having to order from too many??? wanting to get into the DIY just need to know good quality flavor companies??? Any input would be helpful.

In the past 5 months, I've spent close to $700. The reason it's so high lately is because I just purchased 3 RBAs and a DNA30 device which totaled around $320. And with 550 mL of juice on the way, I should be set for another 6 months at least.

If any FDA regs rear their heads, I'll probably be dropping another $400-500 total on DIY ingreds, supplies, wick/wire, and a few more devices to last it out.

Lately I have a system where I usually spend anywhere btwn $50-100 a week on different juices, mostly smaller sample sizes just to try out flavors before I buy larger amounts. This way by the time I get around to vaping a juice I ordered, it's already about a month+ steeped. I probably spend more than the average person but meh, works for me. I'm all set on equipment so now I've just been focusing on juice...

I have a spreadsheet of everything vaping related I've purchased. 76 individual items (multiples bought at the same time were listed as 1), $403.16. 6 months.
Tomorrow's vape mail has the thing I need to finish my diy mod. I have tons of kanthal and cotton, I also have 2 egos for backups, and diy liquid for at least a year. I use a VTR with an xl cartotank as my daily, so I'm about to drop another $67 on a 45mm diver so I won't have to buy anything after that for a long, long time.

After all my juices are steeped and stockpiled. I thought of trying a system where I only use half the amount on vaping that I would have used on analogs. Had a carton a week habit at $45 per carton and rounded to roughly 4 cartons per month, had me at $180 per month on analogs. So about $90 a month is what I'm going to attempt to do, might have to bump to a 100 from time to time :vapor:. Mods and RBAS will more then likely be gifts, savings of previous funds or a splurge every once in a while. Of course this is just theory for now, I'll see with time what really happens. The joys of being a noob.

I've spend a fortune over the past month,... Around 1400. Of course I purchase things doubled because my husband is vaping now too. I stocked piled up on DIY supplies and purchased a lot of new gear. I'm not really budgeting but I may limit myself down the road. But... Before I started vaping I was spending over 400 on cigs, so I think I can spend a little for a while.

Right now I'm waiting on 2 Russian 91%, another Nemesis, and 2 Smoktech magnetos.

:).

I don't have a set budget because our income fluxuates a bit through the year, but most of the time I try to keep my expenses as low as possible. When I have more money to spend, I try to stock up on juice a little bit, and/or buy a new device or toppers if I need them, so that if something comes up and I don't have extra money to spare for vaping later, I'm set for for a few months.
