Nevermind. Just learned a valuable lesson... The cheap ohm checker/voltmeter doesn't give the most accurate measurement...

Just remeasured using the multimeter and mine also don't show any drop in the mod itself.

Apologies to you, inanity.

Glad you figured it out :thumb:. There is resistance in the mod from all the contact surfaces. The materials used have an influence also, but not much. But it doesn't make much difference until you get to low resistances and high power draw from the battery.

The only way to get a comparison between different mods is to use the same battery fully charged and the same atomizer (same resistance) to see which one of your mods performs the best under load. When I checked all my mods I used the same fully charged Sony VTC4 18650 battery. On every single mod WITHOUT the atomizer on top it came out at 4.12 volts, every mod ( I have 9). There isn't going to be a noticeable difference without a load. With a 1.1 ohm kayfun on top my nemesis clone (tobeco) outperformed every mod I own at 0.19 voltage drop, which is pretty impressive, next was my roller with a 0.29 voltage loss having 93-96% percent voltage retention = a well working mod. Others that I have, magneto, pisces clone, king all lost about 0.4-0.5 volts under load. Batteries make a big difference as well. Sony and AW seem to do the best IMO, followed by Efest. I had several 9+ month old EH batteries that were losing an entire volt with a 1 ohm load.

There are alot of factors, and this is what makes me very skeptical when vendors advertise x.xx voltage drop. There's no way to accurately set a standard for voltage drop under load without specifying the battery and resistance. Also another reason to buy HIGH quality batteries when vaping.

Hope this helps!
