When do you consider a juice safe for vaping?

I just saw the discussion in another forum about 5 pawns liquids having off the charts levels of DA (naturally I recently purchased 30ml of castle long). Luckily, most of my juices are spacejam/Ben johnsons juices, which according to the vapor shark tests have no detectable levels of the two harmful chemicals in question (at least the flavors I vape)

What is your standard for considering a juice safe for vaping? Where do you draw the line, and what resources do you use to make your decision? Are the vapor shark tests sufficient for you to make a determination as to the safety of vaping a particular ejuice?

Thanks in advance.

I DIY. I avoid flavors containing DA and AP, no matter how tasty they sound. Flavor Apprentice, where I buy my flavorings, always puts up a warning if their flavors have it. Aside from that, I buy my nic from MyFreedomSmokes, and use nothing but food or pharma grade VG and PG.

The only way to say a juice is safe for vaping is knowing what time and effort was put into it. I have been vaping for a while and always wondered the forums. I just recently signed up. but I can say one thing a clean room now a days is a must. They also sell chemical testers now so you can test before you vape. Which I would suggest because when people do big batches they don't understand the nic they add if not stirred constantly will bind closer to itself. other words think of each chemical being a dot on a piece of paper. now take a color marker and dot the same area within a quarter. then take another marker and dot the outside of it. This resembles how the chemicals attach the dots closer will bind while the inside of the first color marker will be dence in nicotine.

I just wanted to add this in since it's already on the forum lol

Don't even think about selling stuff people will inhale in large quantities, without having it tested first.

Don't even think about believing what upstream suppliers tell you about the quality - they lie.

Don't believe anything a flavour manufacturer says about anything, they are proven liars whose products kill in the downstream chain due to toxic inclusions they try to hide (google 'bronchiolitis obliterans diacetyl').

Yep. I personally avoid PG, too... I just don't really care for the aftertaste it gives me.

To be safe, I avoid diacetyl and acetyl propionyl, too. It's easy enough since tons of vendors just don't use the stuff. I also DIY so I know exactly what's in my juice.

How are you assessing which producers are DA/AP free? Also, if you could point me in the direction of learning about DIY juices it would be greatly appreciated. Would you trust the aforementioned space jam/Ben Jonsons flavors that the vapors shark tests found to have no DA/AP? Thanks in advance.

I have the same questions as I had for cloud, how are you avoiding DA/AP when not DIY? Would you vape space jam/Ben johnson flavors that were found to have no DA/AP according to the vapor shark tests? Also, If you could point me in the direction of good DIY resources it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

About 6 weeks ago, Nicoticket posted authentic, unmodified test results for every flavor on their menu and shared their intention to reformulate Strawnilla and Frenilla, two very popular vanilla flavors with concerning levels of DAP.

Here's the NT thread:
Nicoticket Testing Results | E-Cigarette Forum

I really only patronize one other e-liquid company (The Vapor Hut) and mostly get fruity flavors from them, but I'd still love it if they tested their product and shared their results, too.

I'd like to see all the others follow suit but in the meantime, at least I can make my own choice to reduce or continue my Strawnilla & Frenilla consumption.

I have the same questions as I had for cloud, how are you avoiding DA/AP when not DIY? I can't answer regarding specific brands/flavors because I have no experience. Even when I bought pre made juice, I got it from a local guy I know and trust, but he's not widely distributed. I buy my nic juice, and usually PG and VG, from MyFreedomSmokes. Top quality, and they are registered forum suppliers. I buy my flavors, and sometimes PG/VG, from Flavor Apprentice. They note DA/AP content on flavors containing them.
